i like both blocks, but improvements could be made. Still, they are my favorite blocks of television, along with sunday nite on fox.

Except for Pilot Candidate, it's all good. :D

Saturday night.
Its a very good block, outside of the already mentioned Pilot Candidate. Outside of the whole issue over the name, I have no complaints. A rousing success in this humble viewer's mind.

Adult Swim Comedy. It just has this nice feel to it, I don't like the Saturday voice, it just feels like Toonami trying to be Adult Swim and failing. Not that that's that bad, but I prefer ASC.
And I didn't pick Old School AS because the current ASC has all these premieres and stuff, but if it did, I'd pick the Sunday/Thursday one.

Adult Swim Action is the bestest show around. :)

I liked AS Sundays and Thursdays because I have a terrible memory, and it takes me at least 2 viewings to be able to remember what happened on any given T.V. show, but I also enjoy AS action on Saturdays, I just can't remember anything that happened on any of the shows from either block.

I'm saddened that everybody likes ASA alot more, and that it seems to attract 90% of the conversation around here (the other 10% is joking about Josie in a blender, sadly). It's like the comedy block is damn near well forgotten. I'm afraid that at some point AS is gonna be like toonami, a haven for cliched anime and their extremely clingy fans.

what "everybody?"
the ASA vs ASC split is 9/7..hardly an overwhelming amount, and more people seem to either like the way things were, or like both evenly.

One reason the comedy block may not be as popular right now in this current poll is due to the fact most of AS has been repeats lately, with the exception for Baby Blues and Home Movies. So the block with the new programming is bound to get more attention. But I think the comedy block will generate more attention once they start getting more new programs. Tonight's block is rather good, I must say.

I miss being able to see AS on thursday if I miss it Sunday....Mondays are always harder school-wise so it is more harmful to stay up sunday night for me...

I need to laugh more, so I prefer the Comedy :-)
Cowboy BB is about the only action show I can really get into.

Okay, I still like the ASC block (although last night's spumco introduction hurt it a lot IMO). I still like space ghost, sealab, and ATHF, but one of the things I love in anime is the detail of animation and the quality of stories(plot is good), something that is nonexistent in the cartoons I just mentioned.
Home Movies and Baby Blues are pretty good, but if someone asked me if I'd rather watch cowboy bebop or baby blues there would be no contest (CB of course). If someone asked me if I would rather watch Yu Yu Hakusho or Home Movies, again, no contest(YYH naturally). It has nothing to do with being a "clingy fan", its just that I think the other shows are of higher quality.

Okay, it's all good. ASC brings in Baby Blues, and WIlliums Street. Anything done by Williums Street (Save the blasphemous Kids WB...the word to describe it would be....ick) is great beyond comparison. ASA provides me with YYH and the best show ever, Pilot Candaidate, aka Candidate for Goddess! And the old school was nice because I could get twice the chance to see and absorb everything.

I really miss the old Sunday/Thursday setup, but, given the ever rising popularity of anime, I really see why Cartoon Network decided to split to the new, 2-format AS. I really enjoy the Comedy block, though... Mostly because of Home Movies and ATHF.

I like all of them the classics like Rocky & Bullwinkle, Duddle Do Right, Popeye, the new comdey Home Movies, Space Ghost and the anime which I like everything on the block. Other than that my only complaint is lets have some American stuff on the ASA. Like The Maxx or Spawn for example.

I definitely prefer the old line up of AS (pre- Baby Blues). You've got the ridiculous comedies to warm you up, and then a pure hour of action (CB) to finish the night off with. So good.

As far as comedy goes, I hated the Spumco shorts (Spumco went to crap by the third season of Ren and Stimpy). ATHF, SGC2C, and Sealab can't be topped in this veiwers eyes. I have to watch it Thursday because I laugh so hard the first time around, I can't hear half of it... then I usally end up downloading the episodes, and making a VCD of it, because I can't get enough.
But, when it comes to the action block, I agree. I'd love to see The Maxx or Spawn. The only show I like on ASA is YuYuHakusho. But, I don't care for the dub. Not bad voice casting, it's the voice ACTING that gets to me. And they cut out the skirt scenes with little-to-no reason. The rest of the stuff on ASA, I could buy on DVD if I wanted (Which I do with every anime I like). I look at ASA as nothing more than Toonami Midnight Run. That's pretty much all it is, only longer.
They need to bring back Thursday's for the comedy block, and create a Friday or Wensday one for an encore action block.

Old School all the way. The comedy and second airings were a lot more fun to watch...I don't like any of those TV-Y7 ASA shows. Cowboy Bebop is geat, but I liked it just where it was on Sundays.

Cowboy Bebop could easily fall into the Toonami category if it so chose.
Actually, Home Movies is the best of the lot. Sealab is merely Space Ghost and Brak being skewed again.
Anyone catch the infamous Yogi Bear and Jetsons makeover by John K? It's one of those toons in which either you love it or hate it. Next is the halloween spoof on Scooby Doo (though it's not skewed by the Renmaster)...
Spawn on Adult Swim? It could sell--be good to focus more on the home grown shows and not the usual animes.

I Always like action, Which Is why I love ASA
HOWEVER, I also like comedy, which Iw why I liked Space Ghost, ATHF, Sea Lab, Brak, and the Like. They were action comedies.
I mean, just Look at THUNDERCLEESE (Brak Show). There's a character than can let rip a series of energy beams, turning Zorak into a pile of ashes, and do so in a way that makes me Laugh.
Then there's space ghost. I think the funniest episode is "The Grey Ghost" With Randy Savage doing the voice of Space Ghost's grandfather. ooooooo YEAH! This episode has evil UFOs handing out ***** kickings combined with good comedy.
Yes, I like Action and I like Comedy. In my oppinion, the truly best comedic moments have action arround them IE:
Batman (To Batgirl): "What are you doing tonight?"
Batgirl: "The samething we do every night Pinky."
Batman: "What?"
Batgirl: "Nevermind."
I mean, look at that. That was funny. an action show with unexpected comedy.
This is why I Love TRIGUN so much it is an action show with INSANE comedy.
So I would rank my preferences as:
1 Action + Comedy
2 Comedy + Action
3 Action Alone
4 Comedy Alone
(I just don't find Live action sitcoms funny, so Animated sitcoms are also not on my list of good things.) IE: Family Guy, Baby Blues, Home Movies, Futurama, King of the Hill, Etc.
As for the spumco, It was almost funny, but then it just grossed me out. (Don't get me wrong I DO like Low Humor. But that block just felt weird to me.)

Although I wish ASA would have more of a unique sequence like Adult Swim has with AS Comedy (people in the pool), I like both. I wish AS Comedy will go back to Sundays AND Thursdays though.
