I wish Boomerang US would start airing *New* Smurfs episodes. We're still missing several seasons worth of episodes.

Teletoon Retro gives to his most requested TV show the most odd treatment they ever got. Some of the earlier episodes are the DVD restored look but others of season 1 is the syndicated version we used to watch since the 1980's. The Fountain of Smurf and The Smurfs and the Howlibird are very faded in the syndicated version.

I don't know which treatment they got with the new episodes yet the original version negatives of the others seasons seems lost and are to collector's hands.

That would be episode #80-30, "The Outfoxed Fox (http://1975tomjerry3.50megs.com/episodes/NTJ_Show10.html)" (11/8/75).

And speaking of Boomerang US...it's past time the programming brass show something outside the region of the T&J theatricals, already! I mean if T&J Kids was good enough... :tomcat: :jerry:

It was hard to resist the good natured blue (gender ambigious) family fun of the Smurfs on Saturday AM's. Although the scene where they talk about it in Donnie Darko was very funny and realistic.

I loved the old Colecovision game where you had to save the sole female Smurf. The last time I watched the cartoons was when I was babysitting family and it looked different; something about time travling with crystals or something.

The last time I watched the cartoons was when I was babysitting family and it looked different; something about time travling with crystals or something.

That was the final season. The Smurflings unearthed a baby dinosaur, so Grandpa Smurf unearthed his 'time travel crystals', which when arranged in a certain order, would take you to a certain point in time.

Rather than choosing a small group to transport the dinosaur back, they apparntely took the WHOLE village, and in the process screwed up the crystal's order, thus preventing them from coming back to the present right away.

The show was cancelled after that season, but the Smurfs were never shown returning to their correct time.

Now that sounds like a good lineup. I just wish I got Teletoon Retro. :)
