The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe cartoon is 30 years in 2009!
Anybody else seen it?

I saw it about 4 years ago on Starz I think
I was a fan of the Narnia stuff already, due to the old miniseries and radio plays, and I liked it.

I saw it and the cheaply made live action movie (Not the Disney one there was an earlier one) when I was in Grade School

The "cheaply made live-action movie" you refer to is a miniseries that was produced by the BBC (this version, like the animated one is available on DVD).
As for the animated version, I have it on DVD, but I had to watch it on my computer using WinDVD after determining that it was a PAL print, etc. In all honesty (and I'm not trying to flamebait), I think this version (along with the aforementioned BBC version) is in fact superior to the Disney/Walden Media version despite the fact that
"Father Christmas'" role was given to Aslan in the animated version.
In any case, I certainly like this movie. I just wish it were the original NTSC master, then I could watch it in my room (which doesn't have a computer...).

I saw this movie when it originally aired. I remember liking it, although I remember being confused why Santa Claus didn't show up.
This is why I think it must be bogus that it's celebrating its 30th anniversary because that would mean...
Oh. Huh. I AM old now. :ack:
For what it's worth, this premiered on prime time, I think in two parts early in the week. This was also the era when The Muppet Show was on at 7:30 PM weekday nights. Then again, this was also when I was tuning into the show on rabbit ears antennas and we got exactly 7 channels on TV, plus a bunch of UHF networks that only came in when the TV gods were kind. I know it's kind of hard to believe that a kids' cartoon got that kind of prime-time coverage on a major network (CBS, I think), but they were very different times then.

I kind of remember seeing the animated version. I mostly just remember the part where Aslan was killed, though I don't think I really knew that at the time, when the girls saw him again the next morning and how the kids soon got back to their world at the end of the fight. I might have seen the miniseries before too, but I mostly just remember the cover with Aslan on it. I do remember liking the animated version though.

I remember it. I liked the Disney version better. The animated one felt kind of cheaply made and immaturely done, even when I was in fourth grade. Granted, it's been a while...

I am a big Narnia fan. But unfortunately I have not seen the Lion, the Witch, and Wardrobe cartoon movie yet. Does it ever come on TV or is it on DVD.

I remember my parents getting that for me instead of The Lion King when I was little, and me being pissed off.
Then it actually grew on me. It's the only version of this story I remember.

I saw it when I was in high school. I was a senior and they showed it in my world religions class. It was so God awful it was hilarious. We were making fun of it the entire time. South Park did a parody of Aslan in the "Here Comes the Neighborhood" episode which made it even funnier.

Oh, I loved it. The last time I saw it was when I was in the third grade, though; I'm sure I'd think it was incredibly corny if I saw it as an adult. But to be honest, aside from this film I was never a fan of The Chronicles of Narnia (always preferred The Space Trilogy as far as CS Lewis works go).
