Two Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd musical adventures. I vote Seville.

Both are of the "definitely good but way overrated, as everyone calls them OMG Best Cartoon Ever!" variety, but I'd go with Rabbit of Seville. It's funnier overall and the lyrics/actions to the beats to go along with the famous classical piece work wonderfully.
Rabbit of Seville. It's funnier.

Production-wise, Opera was superior. Comedy-wise, Seville was superior. Overall...a tie.

Rabbit of Seville, it was just much funnier. What's Opera, Doc? does definitely get props though, especially because of it's powerful ending.

Hmmm...
Well, definately Rabbit of Seville because of its humor...
but I do like the Opera episode strangely because of that "Kill The
Wabbit" song in it. :D haha. Oh, and also the ending.

"Rabbit of Seville". If Art Davis had made a prioir or later Bugs besides his one and only, 1949's "Bowery Bugs", maybe he'd do a "Nutcracker Suite" thing with Bugs in drag [kinda the thing I'd have inb mind if I'd made WB cartoons in 1947-48 or so, I'd have Bugs in a pink tutu over the credits with Carl Stalling playing "Reed Flutes". But alas, a Looney Tunes parody of the Suite* never came to be,.]
*In Freleng's 1945 "Holiday for Shoestrings", there is a brief parody,,

"Rabbit of Seville". It's my second favorite Looney Tunes cartoon of all-time. "What's Opera Doc?" is great too though.

I voted a tie because What's Opera, Doc? definitely has that epic quality in the set design and the singing is top notch (considering the characters that are singing).
The Rabbit of Seville had some great singing by Bugs too and the joke where him and Elmer get married is really funny. It's faster paced than What's Opera, Doc? as well.

The Rabbit of Seville is my 2nd favorite Looney Tunes short (first being Duck Amuck). It's just more funny than What's Opera, Doc? in my eyes.

I think that it's a tie. Both are great cartoons, but in different ways. "What's Opera, Doc?" has better production and art work. I was always impressed with the background, how the characters were able to sing throughout the cartoon and the huge ending. "The Rabbit of Seville" has more comedy than "What's Opera, Doc?," especially with some of the jokes as Bugs and Elmer getting married. Both have humor too, but I can't really choose between them so I'll just call it a tie.

Definitely Rabbit of Seville. While What's Opera Doc? was much better crafted than The Rabbit of Seville, but Seville is much funner to watch. It was much funnier, and I absolutely never get tired of watching it.

To me, all "What's Opera, Doc?" had was Kill The Wabbit. And while that was great, The Barber of Seville was just funny, funny, funny.
I voted for the Barber of Seville.

I voted for Rabbit of Sevile because it never gets old to me and has a catchy tune.

Rabbit of Seville since its funnier. Just the fact that they're chasing each other with weapons and then suddenly get married makes it an epic win.

I'm surprised at how many people preferred the 'Rabbit of Seville.' It has always been 'What's Opera Doc?' that seemed to get more recognition. I preferred that one as well because of that. (I mean, heck, it was even referenced on 'Boy Meets World.') I also liked that Elmer Fudd had more lines in that one. In 'Seville,' the only line that Elmer had was 'Wait till I get that wabbit.' I much preferred the duet between Blanc and Byran in WOD.

I love them both, but I'd say "Rabbit of Seville." It's one of my all time favorite Looney Tunes shorts.

I don't know why, but I prefer The Rabbit of Seville. I always found What's Opera, Doc? to be boring (aside from the "kill the rabbit" song) and overrated.

This is like asking if you prefer Michaelangelo or daVinci. I love both! :D
Rabbit of Seville came first (1950). Here, Jones clevery crafts new lyrics and comic situations to a classic opera score. How can you not love "you're nice and clean. Although you face looks it like might have gone through a machine!"
In What's Opera, Doc? (1957), Jones takes that basic Warner's comic situation (Elmer hunting Bugs) and surrounds it with the trappings of grand opera. Maurice Noble's backgrounds are magnificent. Even the well-known librettist, Michael Maltese, is in fine form with "Return My Love". One thing for sure, watching 6 minutes of this is a whole lot better than sitting through the entire Ring cycle.
