That is a cool promo
Just a question: Is there an intro to CN?
Yes, there is. It starts with the Nood from the CN/AS transition painting the black screen white, while two Noods carry a dark color bar, the bar becomes lit, then the two Noods carry the CN logo onto the screen, then the Noods dance to their success.

I love the CN intro/outro when they air the AS block, things like that make CN special in my eyes. It's like they are carefully crafting the network and it seems as if every month CN is doing something to better themselves and make their nextwork the place to be....

I also always have thought that It was named "Are you Seein' It", but it's "Are You CN This?" (YES!), instead.
Yeah, I wanted to say that.

Considering the "Fall" song represented what was arguably CN's lowest moment to date, that wouldn't take much.

Here are the lyrics, in case anyone is wondering what the heck those guys are saying. :D
Hey I wanna give a lesson in anatomy, yo!
Learn about the structure of awesome TV!
The name is Cartoon Network,
there are two major parts:
one has lots of action
and the other lots of HAR! (har har har)
Let me break it down,
and you will understand...
what and where and how to watch
the lay of the land!
Are you CN this!? (x2)
(Har, har, har)
Thursdays are our night,
for hilarity:
Chowder in the kitchen,
Flapjack out to sea!
They keep em laughing,
like I can have a burger with chesse!
But there's one more show,
that's topping off the night.
It also tops the ratings,
so all sorts of fine!
We call it TDI (whoa),
it's our biggest hit:
Like a snow day,
everyone's loving it!
Are you CN this!? (x2)
Have you ever heard the phrase (yeah)
"YOU ARE HERE"?
It refers to night that
we drop it into gear!
Batman, Ben 10: Alien Force,
and The Secret Saturdays
keep us on course!
Morphing into martian,
saving the world!
"You Are Here" is tons of fun,
be careful not to hurl.
Obi Wan, Yoda, Skywalker...
General Grievous is a Jedi stalker!
Lightsaber battles...using the force,
Star Wars: The Clone Wars,
I highly endorse.
So comedy's the heart,
and action is the soul.
They make this network come alive,
that's how we roll!
Are you CN this!? (x2)

Ohhoho, Action is the soul now? As far as I'm concerned, Cartoon Network lacks a soul now. Why wasn't action the soul when it actually had a soul, when we had Toonami? This just pisses me off on so many levels. To me, this is CN killing Toonami and dancing on its grave.

Except for you know that one week when only Clone Wars got above a 3.0 in the ratings with boys 9-14.
Really YAH is doing fine but besides it's premiere it's not doing as well as you might expect from a block with brand new Star Wars material and new episodes of Alien Force which got very good ratings this past year.
But YAH and Toonami could have co-existed so that's a moot point and Toonami's broadcast prescense has been gone since September, it's time to let it go.
At least CN is learning about synergy. Before, comedy and action were a jumbled mess that were segregated completely. CN is starting to cross-promote their blocks and premieres and keeping things stabler than 2007.

I agree with rust, action as the soul after canceling their longest running action block with an actual dedicated fandom seems weird. Yes I'm still sore about this, no I won't stop anytime soon. Logically making a whole new block(two even) seems much more expensive than revamping an old one. Hell, you could even leave it nearly or completely unaltered due to no mention of days.

They are NOT dancing on toonami's grave, ok. Stop acting like everything Cartoon network does is to Spite Toonami, your starting to look like a fool.

Anime will probably never be as plentyfull as it once was on CN, unfortunatly, I don't think CN has anything against anime, I think it's just that animation is moving in a new direction in the US....
Let's take a look at anime on CN as it stands....
Saturday nights from 1-6 on the AS block.
Saturday mornings with Bakugan and Pokemon.
Sometimes on the Action Flicks block.
Naruto sometimes after the Action Flicks block.
So we get a little, but not a lot....

Well that rumor sounds fishy... but I'm all for them using Monday or perhaps Tuesday to air more action premieres and perhaps the Viz and Warner deal will have something to do with that...

I think it's pointless having "themed days" Thursdays for comedy, Fridays for action, and Mondays for anime?? I don't like the idea, it makes me feel like the entire network is being segregated and that there's no unification. What I want is to have a Friday night block dedicated to originals, action and comedy, and then a Saturday night (or weekday afternoon) block dedicated to all other action, including American animation and anime, and maybe some reruns of original action.

It's not quite what we have now. The originals are separated on different block. Chowder and Flapjack are on one day while Alien Force and TSS are on another. Meanwhile we have three different blocks for action (YAH, DAS, and AF) and Naruto is just floating around nowhere with unadvertised new episodes. Now, I can imagine having a SatAM action block and a SatPM action block for action aimed at younger kids and then action for older kids, but having three blocks, one of which is basically a full out repeat of another one, isn't very organized IMO.

Blocks are needed to build personality to the networknaside for the normal fare and to attract people to the shows on it. I know people who love Chowder and TDI and would have never gave them a shot if not for the shows being packaged in a "comedy" style themed block.....

Originals are the soul and acquisitions are the heart!" Saying that there are two parts to the network pretty much means that the the two "parts" are being divided.

I suppose this debate isn't going to go anywhere. I just feel that blocks back then weren't as segregated and still kept the network unified more than it is now. I understand what you mean when you say the network would still be segregated, only different things would be segregated from each other. Like right now, action and comedy are separated, while back then, originals and acquisitions were separated. I suppose it feels more separated now because I get a taste of one genre one day, but not a taste of the other genre. On Thursday I get comedy but no action, and on Friday I get action but no comedy. When CCF was around, it was still original-exclusive, but we got both action and comedy, so it didn't feel separated.

So, Toonami was canceled to unify the network, and they're segregating it instead?

Preachin to the choir man, preachin to the choir.
And it was never truly unified, even unadvertised and unloved, an existing Dynamite action squad destroys that idea.

THIS PROMO IS AWESOME!!!!!
I love whenever it airs, and I can get a feeling for when they are going to air it because usualy there will be at least 5-8 minutes left after the ending credits of a show until the next one airs, but I can watch it on YT anytime I want as well. I love the song and I love the use of The King walking all pimpish, very nice touch. I can see CN doing more fun promo's like this in the future, its a great way to build excitement for the blocks in which its boasting, and since they have done the rap theme maybe they should try a rock theme next?

It was to the best of my understanding that Toonami was not doing very well toward the end and they had lost a bunch of shows and were running mainly repeats anyhow, I guess it was time to pull the plug when the ratings dipped. I felt sad because I didn't even know the final broadcast was sept 20th, I had plans and missed it and the next week they aired a Batman movie in it's place and caught me by suprise. Then I did some research and found out the news.
Anyhow, it went from everyday to once a week and usualy thats a bad sign and frankly I am glad its gone, that way it doesent have to suffer. May it rest in peace, but the time for me to move on has come and gone and now Toonami is a distant memory.
Farewell Tom.
Anyway, if Dynamite got a "Nood" makeover then it would definatly help to unify the network under the "Nood" banner.

I saw an altered version of the video that said "Thursdays is the heart, and Fridays is the soul" instead of "Comedy's the heart, and action is the soul". Why do you think they'd do that?

Why do you think they'd do that? That's one of the shorter versions of the song. As for why they would do that...it's basically the same thing, since Thursdays are their comedy nights and Fridays their action nights.

The tune is kinda catchy, but I agree that the music video isn't anything special. I mainly dislike the fact that they completely don't acknowledge the other 5 days of the week and the fact that they come right out and separate comedy and action. Most will probably disagree with me, but it's just my opinion.

I saw this music video for the first time while watching Chowder with a friend and I thought it was cool that they would go ahead and create something like this. I was really weary of Cartoon Network (CN) for a number of years and now I couldn't be more happier with the product and little bells and whistles like this add for the delicious little dish that CN has become. I dont think they should overload us with goodies like this, then they will become less special but now that they have got the berries to make cool stuff like this they are proving that they can run a network smoothly, something I felt they couldn't do at one point. I am a big fan of Thursday and Friday nights on CN and I will say this, I am "CN" a big change in the network and I am feeling gittiy for what the road ahead has to offer.

They have been playing this promo a lot lately on CN, it is one of my favorite promo's ever and the song is catchy.

Well I guess the video isn't for everyone, but It's cool that CN is at least thinking outside the box with this kind of stuff. Someone mentioned that they are only pumping up the Thursday and Friday lineups in this video and that it didn't make sense to them, but if those two days are doing very good for CN then they should pump promotion into it and keep the train coasting, after all it was a video to brag about how good those lineups are and that they are the channel to watch. Maybe on their next video they will pump up Crushzone, Adult Swim and Action Flicks with another catchy song for our earbuds to dance to?

Just thought I would mention that right before Bakugan they aired a slightly different version of this promo with a different voice singing it and they removed sections of the song for whatever reason, it was much different than the other slightly changed version I saw. Anyone else catch this?

Part of the song was removed because it was the 60-second version. The full song is about two minutes long. The singer is the same for all versions, though.

If it was the same voice singing it then it was recorded again because it sounded completely different to me, it didn't sound like the same guy at all. I knew it was a shorter version than the original, but it's the voice thats throwing me off.

The only real excuse they even have going for them with this promo was that it was at the start of a brand new block.
Hopefully later down the line when things like new shows are added or changed we can get some better promo's.

There is one more show that tops of the night we call it TDA and like the original we hope for it to become a hit

Yeah, it was nice once, but it's pure torture to see it almost every time a show ends. The video itself gets lamer every time I see it.
And it isn't right to brag about your biggest hits all the time, CN.

How about watching this in the movie theater? Cause the first time I saw it was when I went to see "Bed Time Story" with my brother. I just liked how my brother did question a few things in the ad. Well it is understandable for the ad to be shown during a family movie, since CN is more of a family/kids network.
