I was watching the west coast feed of 6teen about an hour ago when I saw an ad in which CN is bragging about how awesome and successful the Thursday and Friday line-ups are. That's cool and all, but what about Sunday through Wednesday? Especially Sunday since its the most watched night of television. And the reason why Disney airs new episodes of Hannah Montana and Wizards.

I'm happy for CN and wish them the best, but before they start celebrating they should start worrying about the rest of the 5 days of the week.

Unless they want to continue being a 3rd place channel.

Har Har Thursdays, and You Are Here are on those days.

Well, it's not easy trying to compete with CBS's 60 Minutes and FOX's Animation Domination. Guess The Flicks just isn't cutting it, eh?

Cartoon Network doesn't want to win against Fox, it just wants to win against Nick and Disney.

Which makes sense, because they're other kid properties.

I know and that isn't different from Nick and Disney, but you don't see them brag about two nights. They brag in general. CN bragging about only two nights makes them look silly. It's as if they are telling the viewers, "sorry folks we have nothing else to offer for the rest of the week."

:^: For me, that just made that Music Video 10x better.

Even though they are in direct competition with Nick and Disney I don't watch Nick or Disney and don't even count it, it's as if they don't exist to me. And since Nick airs live action shows and CN doesent then if makes it even easier for me to consider CN the #1 station for animation.....

What could Nick/Disney really have to offer people who love action cartoons that is going to beat YAH??? Nothing.

Bragging about HAR HAR is one thing but bragging about YAH's only "acceptable" or decent often medicore ratings is downright laughable.

And yet CN gets their best ratings in years, not from that, but from Canadian import they likely bought for a song. Ironic.

Indeed. Then again...aside from Powerpuff Girls their biggest hits have always been imports. DBZ quickly comes to mind. As well as Family Guy in the Adult Swim section.

Aren't they ususally good?Yes, the ratings for YAH are usually pretty good, but they can sometimes fall from an overload of premieres from the other networks.

I do agree they need to have regular weeknight scheduling. Today they only air regular on Monday and Tuesday.

I don't think that it's so weird to promote their blocks for Thursdays and Fridays. Both have done at least fairly well in ratings and most of the shows on both lineups have done pretty good as well, especially the shows on Har Har, but YAH hasn't been around as long as HHT either. Besides that, it would be hard to set up other kind of blocks throughout the whole week, especially with other shows on prime time that have been going on longer than what they would put on during that time slot.

From what i've read and heard from people is that YAH and HHT do well ok the ratings and both blocks are considered a success.

I agree, if they're going to have personalised day to day blocks instead of one master block now they may as well go all the way, some of us are busy during thursdays and would like to see mondays after school to be that joy that made the day survivable.
