Seriously, though, you want fan artists to ape the original style every time? I think that it's perfectly acceptable to take some creative liberties if your natural drawing style doesn't quite match the drawing style of your favorite cartoon.

As you can see by a majority of Naruto, Avatar, Sonic the Hedgehog and Gorillaz fan artists, copying a style can prove to be a very, very bad crutch later on when one wants to be an 'original' artist and stand out.

Agreed. I've seen countless "original" characters that are just recolors of existing Sonic characters. Some of my friends have original styles that are quite pleasing, drawing from anime and Sonic influences yet still adding original traits.

There are many artist and creators from CN shows that have DA accounts like Thomas Perkins, Edward Artinian, Jody Schaeffer, Ethen Beavers from Megas XLR, Ben 10, Samurai Jack, Ed Edd n Eddy.

And of course others from other networks, so watching C.H. Greenblatt on DA is really cool to see what news and new stuff will show aside from his blog.

It's pretty obvious once you actually take a good look at the page. Glad it's confirmed to be faked by Greenblatt himself (That's all the evidence you need in the end), and that I was able to catch it. I just hate it when people pretend to be other people on the internet, really pisses me off.
