Suddenly, Da Boom is the dumping ground for cancelled CN original series. Actually, not so suddenly.

Johnny Bravo
Dexter's Lab
Cow & Chicken
Powerpuff Girls

Actually, I expected Teen Titans to come to Boomerang much sooner. It stopped airing on Cartoon Network some time ago. Fantastic Four: Wolrd's Greatest Heroes has been running on Boom for a couple of months now, and it made it's CN debut well after TT.
It would be nice if Megas XLR would come to the Boom. At least for a month or 2.

Hard to believe Teen Titans is on Boomerang before Samurai Jack or even Megas XLR. I mean it's freak'n Teen Titans one of CN's biggest hits ever... they really should have put it back on the main CN rotation again long before moving it to Boomerang.

Eh, Teen Titans has been in CN rotation long enough; actually, CN played the show to death, IMO. But I do agree that Megas and Samurai Jack should've come to Boomerang first.

Teen Titans has been run to death on Cartoon Network, but it shouldn't have come to Da Boom before their other series.

Hmm.........looks like Turner's broadcasting rights to "Voltron" may be expiring soon. Wonder if they'll be working to get any outside action acquisitions for 2009......

I don't know why boomerang would air Teen Titans. I would rather have them air something like tom and jerry kids or 2 stupid dogs.

I don't know why boomerang would air Teen Titans.
Why wouldn't they? Boomerang is basically a recycle bin for canceled Cartoon Network shows. It's already airing Justice League Unlimited, Cow & Chicken, Dexter's Lab, The Powerpuff Girls and Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, so why not air Teen Titans?

Actually they took Cow and Chicken off their schedule and replaced it with voltron for both weekdays and weekends. In my opinion I just would rather have them air something else. I suppose Teen Titans will be part of boomeraction.

Actually, since Teen Titans is supposed to be airing before 11pm, it probably won't be. Keep in mind also that just because a show is on, that doesn't mean that you have to watch it.

You might be right. Boomeraction doesn't start till 7:30 Pacific Time with Voltron. Your also right that I don't have to watch it if I don't want to. Sorry for complaining.

No need to apologize. It doesn't mean anything to me, I was just making note of the fact. It's what I do.

I wish Boom would do like Toon Disney. They release Ducktales, Talespin, etc. as box sets and remove them from broadcast for shows that don't have DVD releases. Boom releases the DVD sets and airs the shows. Why would I watch the shows if I got the DVD? I say get rid of Batman, Titans, JLU, etc. (new shows with box sets and use that time for shows we have not seen in awhile. Their are plenty of shows from the 60's - 90's they could air.

The point I am trying to make is that Disney at least shows the shows that are not available on DVD when Boom does.

If only Disney could restored the TV shows with their original titles and not the syndicated versions we use to watch during many years and included bonus tracks tough. A show made in the end-80's/early 90's aired today is rarely good.

There's absolutely no synergy between WHV and Boomerang. Also the shows that have been released on DVD by WHV, that air on Boomerang are generally the most popular and well-known H-B series, the Boomerang franchises. As long as Boomerang is around, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Jonny Quest, Scooby-Doo, Josie and The Pussycats, The Smurfs, etc. will be on the network in some capacity.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but for those who are interested, Teen Titans begins airing on Boomerang tonight at 10:30pm (EST), after The Powerpuff Girls (which I've noticed has run up to seasons 1 and 2 and is now repeating itself).
I know what I'm recording tonight ;)

Nope. That's a common misconception among Americans, because most of us in the States knew nothing about Smurfs before Fred Silverman pitched to get them on TV in 1981. In fact the Smurfs comic adventures began in their native Belgium in October 23, 1958.
Another fun fact: many Americans think that the characters of Johan and Pewit were introduced on Smurfs, when in fact it was the other way around. The Johan et Pirtouit (Johan & Pewit) characters began with their own comic, and the Smurfs were introduced in a story entitled La flute a six trous, aka The Magic Flute.
