So, does anyone have that big 600 Cartoons DVD set that's being sold in Wal-Mart lately? It's exactly what the name implies, a set that contains 600 cartoons.

It's mostly public domain cartoons that people have seen a bajillion times before, but it also contains the episodes of rarely-seen made-for-TV animation such as Calvin and the Colonel (Kayro/ABC 1961-62), Hoppity Hooper (Jay Ward/ABC 1964-65), and others.

Quality varies. Alot are sourced from old VHS tapes, but many have good quality.

No. It doesn't go beyond the seventies.

Even though the list price is $30 I managed to get it for around $10 (more or less) at Wal-Mart.

Amazon.com is selling it for $12.

I wonder how many discs are in the set. If they could do this, they could cover the entire Looney Tunes library in a set or two!
