I've been thinking of dropping hints about one of these for Christmas (I could use an 8gig to replace my 2nd gen 2gig), but had a question. I read that one of the new features is the ability to shuffle songs just by shaking the iPod. Does this mean I have to worry about it jumping songs on me if I go out jogging or something? That would be highly annoying. I prefer just using the regular "Shuffle Songs" option in the main menu when I listen to mine, so is that gone and replaced by this new "shake shuffle" feature?

You don't have to worry about it jumping songs on you when you jog. Just lock it.

I believe with the current firmware upgrade for the 4G iPod nano you can turn off the "shake to shuffle" feature.

Yeah, you can disable the shake-shuffle feature. That's what I did with mine. Finally they came out with a PURPLE iPod!:D And that's the one I have too.

Thanks for the info everybody. Hopefully I'll find one under the tree in about a week. :D

Yeah, the different colors are cool. I myself would really like the green one, since that's my favorite color. :) They all look very cool, though.
