Hello! I recently bought some original backgrounds from animation historian Leslie Cabarga. He couldn't identify which cartoons they came from but described them thusly: "The studio was probably Hanna-Barbera, but may have been DePatie-Freleng or another." Please have a look at these illustrations (http://www.ratso.net/background_blowups.html) and see if anything looks familiar.

The first one was properly identified by someone at another forum as coming from The Impossibles (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ro9AAX-o8c), but the other three remain a mystery. The opera house may be a clue. I searched the BCDb for toons pertaining to the opera and have come up with possible suspects (not available on YouTube). Anything ring a bell ? Can any of the following be eliminated?

A Soapy Opera (1953/ Mighty Mouse)
The Talking Dog (1956/ Walter Lantz)
The Plumber of Seville (1957/ Walter Lantz)
The Case Of The Opera Singer (1960/ Courageous Cat)
Drum Up A Tenant (1963/ Modern Madcap)
Dodo at the Opera (1964/ Halas & Batchelor)
Opera Phantom (1965/ Roger Ramjet)
The Phantom Of The Opera House (1966; Beany & Cecil)
The Opera Caper (1967/ Famous Studios)
Wizard Of The Opera (1969/ Winky Dink)
Pheline Of The Opera (1973/ Mighty Mouse)

Thank you all!
