The Toon Zone Awards 2008 - Nominations (ENDS 12/19)

Hey everyone,
I know last year didn't work out so well, but we're going to be running things this time, and we'll be both fair, public, and civil about this. This thread is all in good appreciation, and we really do thank everyone who comes to this site, but there's also nothing wrong with a little recognition (some props, so to speak), and this thread has been an institution here, so I and PurpleHairedWonder will be running this years award thread. We're also going to be speeding things up this year!

Here's the rundown:
1) Private Message either me or PurpleHairedWonder (we'll be compiling our lists) with your picks for each catagory.
2) Your picks will be due by December 19th at 11:00PM EST
3) Your nominees will be posted on December 21st (we'll be compiling them as we get them) and we will make all the results public, as to ensure we're being fair...as there was some controversy with that in previous years.
4) Your final picks must be emailed to us by December 29th at 11:00PM EST
5) We will post the final results on January 1st, 2009

As to not clutter this thread we'd like you to PM the results to either me (Zach Logan) or PurpleHairedWonder. I'll also take this as an opportunity to raise awareness for the final Toonami Jeopardy, which I plan on bringing about either in late December, or early in 2009, to commemorate the end of Toonami. If you have any input or want to post your nominees here as well, you're free to.

Glad to see you've decided to bring this back. Already PMed you my results. I like it better this way, as it creates some privacy between who we all nominate, not to mention less post padding. Judging from past Toon Zone Awards, it should mean Best Thread of 2008.

You know, I've always thought Best New Member should extend back to November or December of the previous year. Hardly anyone would nominate someone who has only been here for a few weeks, so those members don't get a fair chance the first time they qualify. And sometimes the members who join at the end of the year don't get a chance to be nominated at all.
