It's already snowing wear I live, but I don't really feel all that cold. Could it be because of Code Geass' early Christmas present(s)? Also, there's a classic piece of dialogue here that I like to recite with whenever it plays. A little hint? Maybe...
Bleach
Zangetsu: Bankai is the state of extreme readiness that involves both blade and pain. You must not be afraid. The slightest hesitation will dim your blade. Once before, you were able to gain power by demonstrating ab unwavering heart. I will ask you once more, what are you preparing yourself to do? Why are you fighting this fight? For whom do you seek this power?
Ichigo: Now I remember. I remember that I wanted to become a Soul Reaper in order to protect those that are important to me. That’s when I was able to achieve Bankai by swearing on my soul that I was prepared to sacrifice my life. Zangetsu, lend me your power one more time, the power to protect everyone.
Zangetsu: I am that same power, Ichigo. Trust in yourself, and the power is yours.
Ichigo: All right.
Moribito
Repeat of episode 5
Code Geass R2
Café girls: From pretty girls to sexy grown-up women, welcome to the Swim Club Café, where you get exactly what you want!
Shirley: Oh, I’m so glad the coach agreed to do this for us!
Viletta: So help me, Shirley will die a thousand deaths for this!
(Milly's filler line was funny too, but it's a greater pleasure hearing a half-nude Viletta complaining like this; actually, it's a much greater pleasure seeing a half-nude Viletta!:anime:)
Shin Chan
Yoshirin: Oh, my Oprah!
Miichi: Mitzi, when did you get into hentai cosplay?!
Yoshirin: You look just like a girl from my favorite Koonaga. You and Hiro have to join us at our next hentai reading group. I actually just got Miichi involved and she’s cool with it now. She even fries up calamari for our tentacle days!
(Please do something like this too, CG!!!)
FLCL
Haruko: Haruko’s Master-the-Guitar-in-One-Millisecond Class! YEAH! Sign up now!
Naota (to us): Do you find this difficult to understand?
(Perhaps the most definitive line in the series)
Death Note
Light: L, do you know … gods of death … love apples!
L: Damn you, Kira!
(I love Macintoshes in particular, BTW; green and red with a tangy taste)
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Curtain(sp?): Well it’s been ages since you’ve been by here.
Motoko: I promise I’ll make it up to you.
*Curtain pouts*
Cowboy Bebop
 : When angels are forced out of heaven, they become devils. You agree, don’t you, Spike?
 : I’m just watching a bad dream I never wake up from.
 : I’ll wake you up right now.
 : What’s your rush, Vicious? After all, it’s been a long time.
 : Are you pleading for your life?
 : Hardly, begging doesn’t work on you, remember? Even when it’s coming from a man who took you in and made you what you are.
 Perhaps, but he was a beast who lost his fangs. That’s why he had to die, Spike. And that’s why you have to die.
*and later...*
 : You should see yourself! Do you have any idea what you look like right at this moment, Spike?
 : What?
 : A ravenous beast. The same blood runs through both of us, the blood of a beast who wanders, hunting for the blood of others.
 : I bled all that kind of blood away!
 : Then why are you still ALIVE?!!
Big O
Beck: Beck the Great RX3 has arrived!
(Yeah, and it's also gotten Big Owned)
Inuyasha

All of Saturday down from last week, and all the anime under 300K.

It's a shame that Clerks bombed, but it's not like AS had any great expectations from syndicating a six episode series.

Man, AS just dropped a giant hint they ain't picking up more anime. $43 dollars dedicated to anime?
Ha, ha, ha.
I'm still wondering what was the point of picking Clerks up. I really don't see why they thought picking up Clerks would be a good thing for the network. Now they're stuck with it for two years.

Has Clerks been advertised much? I mean, besides maybe a passing mention in the cards? Reason I ask is because if not, that's certainly an obvious reason for its failure. Plus, the DVDs have been out for seven years now.

That may be a reason why they begrudgingly made an anime promo, they realized that when they don't promote something, it frankly isn't going to work. Cleaks: TAS proved that it'll bomb if it doesn't get TV promotion.
But to answer your question, yes, they didn't promote Clerks until the third week they had it.

Not to double post, but I noticed that come February Adult Swim's premieres look frighteningly barren. Robot Chicken will take a hiatus, and after that we'll only have reruns (I'm counting Boosh, PJs, and KOTH as part of the reruns), except for . . . Tim and Eric.
GACK!
Adult Swim, if they're getting rid of anime, is going to regret that horribly when we progress into April and AS still doesn't have anything new to premiere.

Now they're stuck with it for two years.I suspect it may have something to do with the dealings Turner is having with Disney as of recent, where a lot of Disney's older movies are turning up on Turner Classic Movies and stuff like "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" turning up on Cartoon Network. The Miyazaki films turning up on CN and TCM were part of this too.
AS may have gotten the series cheap through these exchanges Turner was having, since I believe Disney (from Miramax or ABC) still owns distribution rights over Clerks and its animated series.

I'm not sure Adult Swim will really regret anything. Reruns of shows like Family Guy and Robot Chicken seem to get good ratings regardless of whether they're reruns or not. I wouldn't be surprised if five years from now the weekday schedule is nothing but Family Guy and Robot Chicken.

You forgot that Xavier is having a new season that will air on Thursdays & that new show Delocated.

Is it bad that I wouldn't mind? It would certainly be preferable to stuff like Awful Show and OzMo airing again?
Besides, last night's Robot Chicken was really good. Although they didn't exactly yell "SEASON 4!" in ads.

Clerks would be getting Robot Chicken sized ratings if it was advertised. Plus if Family Guy ran first followed by Clerks would make a lot more sense than Clerks leading into Family Guy.
Clerks was advertised. I remember them having promos and bumps about it, and they even advertised Clerks during American Dad promos.

Then perhaps Turner could pick up something decent for [as] like W.I.T.C.H.

Are you absolutely insane? W.I.T.C.H. fits AS as much as the 50's Astro Boy.
Oh wait . . .

Still more interesting than everything [as] is premiering right now. Also, much better animated as well.

I just have to say that it's great to of found out that Clerks: TAS was worked on along with the likes of Paul Dini, Steve Loter, and Nick Filippi.
I mean, "Heart of Ice", "Homecoming", and "Furious Jealousy" are some of the greatest animated television episodes I've ever seen, and to see some of the people behind these is just awesome, even if Clerks is the opposite of the DCAU or American Dragon.

After the second episode re-aired, I remembered why I liked "Fooly Cooly" and intended to record all six episodes with the idea of the first two airing again by the end of December. I realized "Full Metal Alchemist" would replace it on December 21st after later viewing the network's online schedule, which goes all the way to February 2009.
I must now await the show's return (hopefully) after only recording episodes three through five. I was too tired to stay awake for the final episode at 2:00 AM Central time. This comes after months of recording "InuYasha" and "Astro Boy" in the early morning hours.
