I'm not sure if I would put this in the H-B Classic Collection, but nonetheless it is good to see it on DVD.

About time, man. I used to love watching it back in the `90s. I won't buy it though. I'm gonna rent it first. I haven't seen the show since like `97 or `98. I wanna make sure I still like it.

Bump.

This comes out tomorrow! Hopefully I'll be able to find it...

(Also, this should probably be mirrored in the DVD Discussion forum?)

Yeah, not sure about it being classic where there's still so much to put out on dvd.

So, Did anyone get this? I ordered it from Amazon on Monday. Are there any good extra features? I hope it sells okay so the other episodes are released too.

I bought this and just finished it yesterday. It was still as fun as I remembered it to be, although a few things were more noticable to me this time around.

I didn't remember Race being so Southern/Cowboy in his sayings, but apparently that was what they were going for.
I didn't remember just how violent this was, but it really pulled no punches. There were quite a few deaths in these 13 episodes.
I still don't buy the official ages of these kids. 13 is just not in line with their character models or actions, 15 I might buy though.
CGI does look dated at times, particularly the Questworld avitars.
I wish the episodes had been in chronological rather than apparently air date order, as the creation of Rage is still shown after his debute. The one real extra is actually pretty good. It's brief, but a nice bit of background of the creation of the show. I'd almost suggest watching it first, as it does reveal some of the thought process behind aspects of the show.

Great to hear that this show is finally coming out on DVD. I'm waiting for season 2 of the show on DVD, when they revamped the show to look more like the classic JQ. Any word on if/when this is coming out?

Odd how this is one of the very, very few shows yet to make the jump to Boomerang. Ever since I've had Boomerang (2002-ish), I never recalled seeing "Real Adventures" air on Boom whatsoever. Even the WaC shorts and the first Cartoon Cartoons series have made the jump to Boomerang already. Didn't it actually go into syndication briefly after it's lengthy re-run on CN ended?

I think it did, but JQ unfortunately would have entered syndication just as syndicated cartoons were a dying breed and probably lasted just one mere season on off cable channels.

I just started watching this set, only to find Rage in an episode (Rage's Burning Wheel), before the character is even introduced (in Ezekiel Rage).

Looking at episode list on wikipedia, the original air dates in the USA were crazy. With episodes from season 1, even mixed with episodes from season 2.

Why is it so difficult for Warner to put the episodes in correct order (production order)? the series was actually shown in correct order in Australia.

Totally lost interest in watching any more of the series, with this crazy episode order. And I definitely won't be buying any more DVD releases.

This poor show went through so much junk just to get to airings, and then to have a simultaneous release on three networks still didn't draw the needed audience to the show.

This show was extremely under-appreciated considering it had more CGI then even Toy Story.

This review of the DVD (http://animated-views.com/2009/the-real-adventures-of-jonny-quest-season-one-volume-one/) from Animated Views dives into the controversy the show went through quite well.

To those not willing to buy the second season, may I be so bold to point out that there are only two and that you cannot leave an animated collection incomplete, right!? Right!?!

I didn't really enjoy that incarnation of Jonny Quest. After Don Messick, the voice of Dr Benton Quest, died the entire series was never the same again.

What is the correct order of the episodes?
I took a episode guide from epguides.com and rearranged it by production order.
Is this the right order?
Do I need to make any changes to the order?
