Adult Swim is airing it's premieres early this week due to Thanksigivng Holiday. The AS Fix Version of the latest Code Geass episode is available now to watch. Or you can wait to catch it Saturday Night at 2AM.
SYNOPSIS:
Lelouch makes a deal with Rolo when he finds himself cornered.
Meanwhile, the execution time nears, and the situation is worse then ever. Guilford is about to order the executions to begin, when finally ... Zero shows up!
REVIEW:
Though Code Geass isn't Death Note there are some similatrities. One of the ones I noticed is that the second arc follows similarly to the first act almost to the point of annoyance but throws in some nice twist and turns to make things different. For example was it not sazing Suzaku from execution back in early season one and preforming a miracle that Lelouch/Zero his first major fame and recongnition thanks to brillance and Geass trickery? So once again Lelouch is able to save those who are about to be executed by a bunch of angry bitter Britianinas. In this case though it's not just Geass trickery and smart thinking that does the job alone, it's the actions of Lelouch's bro Rolo. At first I was worried when I heard in the synopsis for some reason that Rolo had to make a deal with Lelouch and thought that'd make some kind of stupid plot twist but it was handled well: by letting Lulu go free for a day he not only had the promise of getting C2 but building a future with his "brother". And seeing how he has a past as an assassin using his geass to take those out but dosen't seem to be emotionally adjusted to think of much else then the mission he does seem rather easy to manipulate. Just pull on his strings of wanting to be loved and have a purpose and he's all to easy for Lelouch to use. And hopefully use well since hey this guy is a mass murdering foe, even if he's got as many issues as Spike Spencer's most famous voiced over character. In addition to hearing some more lines from the Black Knights there was banter over the Chinese Federation, Guilford's love for Cornelia (he said "wherever she is" uh she is dead right? I don't want that to end up being a fake out) and C.C pointing out Kallen's obvious fanservice yet again (seriously any scene of her in a mech is such blanant body shots that it may actually start getting annoying after awhile), Deitard and co making some sort of move and... Suzaku moving back to school. Yeah that's a definite cliffhanger that will surley make Lu's live all the more troublesome. I do hope they get around to answering some of the other season two cliffhangers soon but another good tense Code Geass ep, though I hope season two starts shining more on it's own and stops just being a nice little love letter of season one's plotting.
Well that's it. Enjoy Everyone!

A little more action in this one. I hate to say it, but my favorite part was Li Xingle killing that High Eunuchs, that fruit pissed me off with his attitude. I know terrible to love someone getting shot in cold blood, But he got what he deserved. I hate the High Eunuchs, bunch of jerks.
Lelouch up to his old tricks, out smarting everybody. But I thought this when I first saw this episode, I think Lelouch using Rolo like he is doing is a very dangerous move. Rolo is obviously mentally unstable, and he could easily lose it. Look for Rolo to have a very odd sibling rivalory. I thought Rolo using the voice motifying pretending to be that soulder in the knightmare was hillarous.

Holy crap I forgot about the powers of Thanksgiving!
Now I can stop rewatching the last episode. Although two watches already made me digest all that foreshadowing and sub plotting.
EDIT: LOL snowboarding with a mecha. This show's crazy.

snowboarding with a mecha, proof this show is insane.
And suzaku returns to school next episode if the ending is any indicator. Owww, the drama.

One of the better episodes for this part of the story.
EDIT: LOL snowboarding with a mecha. This show's crazy.
It is, or can be, but that was fairly mundane as far as I'm concerned.
I recall someone proposed it was meant to be a little reference to Eureka 7, since apparently the shows have some staff in common. Exactly who, specifically, is something I wouldn't know.

I might be remembering wrong, but there was a significant amount of the red stuff in this episode that I don't recall there in the original Japanese airing.

Then I guess it's one of those things where the series airs in Japan with less blood, the Japanese dvds add in more blood, and the dub studio uses the Japanese dvds rather than the original airings.

Maybe mundane for something like Eureka 7, where it is explained as part of their physics. However, I still give Lelouche his props for doing something random in relation to his show. 8D

Yeesh, the Britannian forces are really fumbling here against Zero's tactics. He's just reusing tricks that he used previously. You'd think they would really go out of their way to take precautions this time around, considering how much damage and destruction Zero caused in his last outings.
Also, Lelouch's father's Geass ability is really making me think here. If he has the ability to erase people's memories and replace them with new ones, how can we go on the assumption that some of Lelouch's old memories aren't fake as well? Maybe I'm reaching too far out with this thought.
Anyway, nice episode.

Oh wow, I'm surprised the episode was up early for today! Pretty exciting and all.
But uh...dude did they change Tamaki's voice!? That sounds like a totally different actor and I really dislike it.
I think it's clear that Rolo is mentally unstable as god knows what- its crazy to see him act so nonchalantly about killing people for a job. Even if Lelouch is going to use him like a towel, there's always human emotions involved regardless. Lulu is so freakin clever. I really enjoy Rolo's english voice so much; more so than I did his Japanese.
XINGKEEEEE. What a good ol boy, killing that fairy eunich.

I might've missed something, but was the eunich being controlled by geass? His eyes looked like there was a red glow to them.
Hopefully Lelouch doesn't let it slip that he doesn't really care for Rolo. Guy would go nuts.

It seems Gilford is getting more screen time good. Great episode and seems another one next week with Suzaku back with a vengeance. Spike Spencer does great as Rolo. Li Xingke seems to be as smart as Leoluch and a great fighter like Suzaku.

You didn't miss anything. That was how the Black Knights got into the consulate to begin with: Lelouch geassed the eunich into sheltering the Black Knights. Of course, the eunich wound up paying for it with his life, but like Lelouch cared about that. It got the Black Knights inside a (kinda)safe area, where they could plot out a strike to rescue the rest of their members.

Funny you should say that, because is offical description on Wikipedia is that he is a combination of Lelouch and Suzaku.

Hah, I completely spaced on watching last week's episode. But this episode is where we get some really good stuff, anyway. Anyone surprised that my favorite part is the last like 5 seconds of the episode? Suzaku <3
The shot of Lelouch as he says he plans to use Rolo and then throw him away is chilling. Then again, so is the fact he completely broke Rolo's spirit for his own convenience, but I don't like Rolo so whatever.
Lelouch using the riot shield as a snowboard was awesome. I love when he shows off his tactical awesomeness in episodes like this. So much good stuff.

I knew leoluch would not accept Rolo at first I thought he was serious but not since he is supposed to replace Nunally. you guys are right Rolo being mentally unstable may come back on leoluch playing with him like this.

Yeah and I say this. Anything that Rolo does because he goes crazy, is equally on Lelouch. It is your fault Lelouch. You created the monster, what ever he does is your responsibility.
Anyone agree with me?

Anyone agree with me? Especially my fellow sub watchers.
Lelouch only makes matters worse by using Rolo. He's giving him a false hope of feeling wanted, and if Rolo ever finds out that it's a lie it'll only make matters worse. Rolo's insanity can be fuled by Lelouchs fake attitude.

I add this about Lelouch using Rolo.
Which is why I am not that sympathic towards Lelouch about a certain incident that happens later. I feel for him and his sadness, but he had no one to blame but himself.

Last time: Do you love anyone enough to give them your last, Rollo?
Lose the "insert-sponsor-here" snippet already!
Aww, who's that little boy? Whoa, hey, I've been shot! *falls dead*
I smell something.
Oh yeah, Nunnally! Whatever happened to her?
Looks like Zero has an SPK out on him.
That guy's voice...
I bet the Britannians are soaking in this. The looks of hope on the faces soon to be followed by disappointment when Zero fails to show.
Well, well. The prodigal son returns.
OT: Oooh, the Naruto Land of Snow movie! The best of the films so far. :)
I wish they wouldn't randomly cut to people who'd been Geassed off camera so quickly. Keeps throwing me off.
Move Eleven-dog Britannian-pig banter.
MIND CRUSH!
Vincent. Rollo. Is there some kinda reference in that?
Aww, Lulu shows compassion for his Rent-a-Brother.
And vice versa.
Rollo's all confused now. Putty in Lulu's hands.

So Rolo is now going to be used by Lelouch like a puppet huh? There is no way this series can end well, unless Lelouch surprises me and ends up winning completely with a happy ending.
Glad to see the Black knights have now re grouped, the next episode I'm guessing starts everything up and begins Zero's new plans.
Oh and to make things even more wonderful are good old body Suzaku is going to come back to school! And right when I thought this whole Lelouch being trapped in the school sub plot would be gone already.

Alot of similarities from the first series, as previously pointed out, but I have to say that I saw a major difference between the two. When Zero tried to get Suzaku to his side, Suzaku refused, but when Lulu did the same to Rolo, he gets a new (albeit CRAZY) ally. And yes, seeing the look on Rolo's face coupled with the Shinji voice just gives me a sense of dread and doom coming soon.
As for the rest of the eppy, I have to say that once everything was explained out, I actually enjoyed the whole battle scene. I mean, appearing to take everything into acount except Rolo, then running from him, only to have him eventually join him (very clever, and very slick with the alternate orders for that sniper). I am only wondering, that scene we saw at the beginning, was that the info that Lulu found when he was doing his research (seems that it could make a little sense even if taken out of chronological order).
Well, guess the Black Knights have a new ally. Can't wait to see how he fits in, if at all, or even if he can hide his mech and resume school life without anyone else finding out.

How do we know Rolo isn't really Nunnaly and the emperor simply made her think she was a guy? Oh wait, Nunnaly is blind, so the geass wouldn't work on her.
anyone catch gilford said "Wherever Conilia may be" so she's not dead but missing. It would make sense she never seemed dead in the first place.
Well, he could have meant wherever she may be in the afterlife.
Anyway, why is that blue haired chick alive? Didn't she get killed in the last episode of the first season?

Uhhh...I think you're thinking of Viletta, who has greyish hair and shot Mogi. I'm talking about the blue haired black knight. Her mech got blown up in the big final battle last season, but she was shown about to be executed with the other hostages.

I re-watched the scene and maybe you've confused her with the blue-haired guy, the same one who commented about her death if I recall correctly, since her hair was actually purple.
EDITED: She was also called Inoue, I believe.

Ok now your seriously confused. The blue hair girl is the P.E. teacher who had lost her memory before. She went into the school council and shot are buddy Mogi and then later escaped, and then the time skip happen we learned she was spying on Lelouch ever since he got his memory wiped.
She had nothing to do with the big battle outside of the school building with the mechs.

First off look at this picture:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/64/Blackknightsroster.jpg/250px-Blackknightsroster.jpg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Blackknightsroster.jpg)
Master Moron is talking about the girl on the very left of this picture, Inoue, a member of the Black Knights. He's asking how come she was shown being executed with other members of the Black Knights when during the Black Rebellion at the end of last season the upper half of her Burai is destroyed. And I think the answer is because that's someone else whose not Inonue. Inoue was voiced by Cindy Robinson but her name dosen't appear in the credits for this ep so I think it was just a similar looking Black Knight (one of the few female ones besides Kallen) who was about to be executed since her and Yoshida (who I think airfighter is referring to) were killed at the end of last season.

Thanks for sorting it out, but I was actually speaking about the blue-haired guy to the right of Tohdoh and Tamaki, who seems to be called Kento Sugiyama. He didn't die, but I recall he freaked out a bit when Inoue was killed. He was the only non-generic guy who fit the description at first glance, showing up in a couple of the execution scenes. Maybe there is a true Inoue-lookalike somewhere else though.

Ah her! Well that makes more sense. It's kind of hard talking about a blue hair girl where there is like hundred on this show already >_>.
For some reason when I typed that out I had the idea that for some reason Viletta had blue hair o_o eh that's what I get for typing that out when I'm tired.

Oh this is so gonna blow up in Lulu's face. He got his hands on Rolo's file, so he knows the kid-however dangerous, is as much a pawn of daddy dearest as just about everyone else in the Britannia Empire. He could use a real ally with a Geass power, but due to the understandable concern over Nunnally's whereabouts and safety, he's just made the biggest-mistake- evah.
Don't make Shinji mad Lulu...You won't like him when he's mad. ;)
