Adult Swim is updating early this week due to Thanksigiving and Black Friday. Thus you can watch the Fix version of the latest Superjail episode now. It's the 9th episode and two part "season finale" of the season (well show wise anyway not production wise) called "Time Police Part One."
SYNOPSIS: "The Warden is put on trial for his future crimes".
REVIEW:
I don't really think that they were actually holding back on any of the mayhem, violence, battling and blood in any of the previous episodes but this seemed to really kick things into high gear. From the opening of Jackknife escaping the burger chain (which I think will have something to do with the next episode) the Warden looking to see all the various tortures (including prionser crowding and gene animal splicing. Reminds me fo a really warped version of a story I read about that sort of thing) the future war with Jailbot X, Alice's robot, the doctor's genetic troops and general Super Jail shops destroying everything, and even the rito at the end there was just no end the wanton descturive gore. And as per usual it was animated in that usual excellent fluid way that you rarley get to see in pretty much.. well any show thinking about it. The plot was also pretty good: The Warden thinks of going power crazy and then is taken away by policmen from the future while Superjail falls apart without him as the other staff have to go they're sepreate ways. As per usual the actual humor dosen't sell too much (Besides Jared's facinsation with fast food, the random Homelss Guy in the world meeting and the Warden wanting a tape of him destroying the world, and the president having a stabbing knife in his pen was also a nice gag) but this time around it didn't matter too much: just getting to see what kind of over the top violence actually finishes out this season should be good. It does make me wonder though if there is another season of this just how will the staff be able to top itself but I'll let them worry about that if they get around to it. For now though more great Superjail action.
Well that's it. Enjoy Everyone!
