Boo to the removal of Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes on weekends. Though I guess it was only a matter of time, since the show had such a low episode count. I was hoping Boom would air the 8 episodes which never aired in the US.

They could have alternated it with the HB Fantastic Four. Would have given them about 46 episodes.

YES! Finally!

As for the rest of the schedule, it still needs a lot of work, but at least it's an improvement. Hopefully this is a sign for good things to come on Boomerang.

Sorry, was a typo. FF:WGH is still on, as is Cow & Chicken. That's what I get for copying and pasting.

I'm surprised Pound Puppies lasted as long as it did with it's low episode count, which didn't help that Boomerang kept mixing up the episodes and not even airing 'Wagga Wagga' in the last few rotations.

Scrappy getting character of the month is kind of sweet, and hopefully will give me the chance to DVR episodes of his last three seasons that Boomerang hasn't aired in forever.

IIRC, Scrappy has been Boomeroyalty before. The programming gerbils just don't get it!!

Let's think outside the box, Boomerang!

I hope Gerald McBoing Boing moves to CBS' weekend Kewlopolis block with other DIC/Cookie Jar shows.

Typo: they stated that it's 24 hours when it's actually 12 hours. http://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/26.gif

(Hope they include some installments from the '75 edition! :D ) :tomcat: :jerry:

A couple thoughts, Scrappy Doo the character of the month, cool; maybe they will show the 1983-1985 episodes, second a Scooby marathon on MLK day, sweet!. Hopefully they'll put NSDM back on the regular schedule soon too. I love watching the SD Movies episodes that aren't on DVD so this is pretty cool.

Actually it is 24 hours. The press info said 6AM-6PM, but the schedule grid has it listed from 6AM-6AM. Weird. All of the shorts they're airing are from the 40s-50s Hanna Barbera era.

It is too bad they took Pound Puppies off the schedule. I thought it was a decent show. I am happy that they will be airing a Tom and Jerry marathon on New Years day and a scooby movies marathon on Martin Luther King. The schedule is basically the same though besides a few changed shows.

Boomerang vs. Cartoon Network

Tom and Jerry vs. Looney Tunes

Hanna-Barbara/MGM vs. Warner Bros.

I can't decide. I'll switch back and forth between marathons. :D

Agreed, since he was the star character LAST January. I guess Huckleberry Hound will be Boomeroyalty in February like he was last February.

It's time Boomerang give honors to different characters. Perhaps Scooby-Doo, instead of Scrappy, Judy Jetson, Tom and/or Jerry, Augie Doggie, Mr. Jinks, Secret Squirrel, Atom Ant, etc. The network certainly needs some long overdue variety in its lineup.

Well, Da Boom and Cartoon Network are run by morons. Boomeroyalty '09 should be scheduled thus:

January--replace the Scrapster with Atom Ant.
February--Smurfette
March--Godzilla (assuming Da Boom still has the 1978 series in the library)
April--Daffy Duck (not as Duck Dodgers, though. Dodgers has already been Boomeroyalty)
May--George Jetson
June--Bugs Bunny (the return of June Bugs, if ya will)
July--Wonder Woman (mixing in Justice League (Unlimited) w/Super Friends repeats--they better get it right this time)
August--Tom & Jerry (equal treatment for equal billing)
September--Penelope Pitstop
October--Space Ghost
November--Johnny Bravo
December--Santa Claus (I'm not kidding---how many toons over the years have featured Santa)

Perhaps making Scrappy the character of the month every January is supposed to be yet another shot at him, since it is the dead of winter, and post all the holidays?

Flintstone Kids was on at noon for a few months around spring 07, but then it started suffering from the same problem Pound Puppies did when Boomerang started shuffling the episodes around randomly.

Yogi's already been Boomeroyalty, but so far no Cartoon-Cartoon character has been. But then, Boomerang has only been showing Cartoons-Cartoons for a bout a year or so now.
