I got it in 2004, when I switched to DirecTV. Boomerang's just "eh" for me; I have it, but I almost never watch it, except on weekends late at night. Like old Cartoon Network was back in 1995, it was great the first few weeks, seeing all of those old shows again after decades of absence, but eventually after you've burned through all of the episodes and start seeing these same reruns over and over ad nausea without a break or a decent rotation/variety between shows, the novelty starts to wear off.

Not a to be a buzzkill, though. Hope you enjoy it.

At least I get to watch Dexter, Johnny Bravo, and Cow and Chicken again. Those are some childhood favorites. I'm looking forward to Justice League and Voltron as well.

What do you mean by digital cable? Like Comcast?

What do you mean by this:confused: ? Not every cable/satellite TV provider carries the channel, which also doesn't appear on some digital cable lineups.

Yeah, I was like this when I got Boomerang in 2006.

I still watch Jonny Quest or something like that on occasion... now it's just... meh, overall though.

Time Warner in my area has always had Da Boom on digital. Got it last year when I upgraded to digital.

My digital cable company sucks, I got Bright House here in Central Florida and no Boomerang. I've been requesting it since Turner launched the channel back in (what?) 2003. We got a classic live-action TV channel with TV Land. Don't understand why they can't pick up a classic animation channel, but I'm still hopeful (fingers crossed, lol.).

Stay hopeful. I didn't think I would ever get Boomerang but just like that it showed up. ;)

It just recently became available here too. I've had digital cable for four years and have been requesting the channel ever since I found out it existed.

I got the channel in late-2005, I think. I have Time Warner Cable.

I also would watch the channel a lot when I first got it, but since then, very little.

I do enjoy watching Dexter, Johnny Bravo, Cow & Chicken, Duck Dodger and am waiting for Powerpuff Girls on Dec. 15!

In recent weeks however, I find myself turning to the channel between 10pm-12am and leaving it on a few hours, while I'm on the computer. It's good to listen to sometimes.

I just wish they could shake things up every month or so. I mean the schedule has been pretty stiff the last year.

For me, Boom's schedule was a lot greater before I kept seeing all of those same shows over and over again for nigh on to 4 years. Geez, mix it up a little, Boomerang. Get some new acquisitions once in a while. Make some new bumps. Declare more than those same 8 characters Boomeroyalty. C'mon, execs, just somebody think outside of the flipping box and spend a little extra cash on some effort already.

I agree. And if Boomerang were to get execs who actually gave a hoot about the channel and didn't just regard it as a recycle bin/dumping ground for the "rubbish" that CN chooses to no longer dirty their collective hands with.

A 3rd-place kids channel that's on basic cable, or less widely-available channel that shows classics? There is no way to focus equal attention on one, since one (IMO) seems more important.

This driving me crazy, lol. My digital cable company (Central Florida Bright House Networks), just went through 14 days of adding new channels. Which was one per day, so a total of 14 new channels. Alas still no Boomerang and people here keep on asking for it too. Is Bright House being run by a bunch of retards or what? LOL!

I don't see why you'd call the people in charge of your cable company "retards" for choosing not to acquire a 2nd-tier upgrade channel with little variety in its' programming and no ads that they wouldn't make any real money from other than subscription fees. That just sounds like a business decision to me.

Again, you're not missing anything. Boomerang right now is a better idea than it is a channel. There are some shows I watch on Boom (right now mainly 2: Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes and The Powerpuff Girls; I catch the odd Johnny Bravo or Dexter episode once in a while and I used to watch Justice League Unlimted, but I don't feel compelled to sit through it every night since they've already burned through all of the episodes about 6 or 7 times now), but the glut of it is old Hanna-Barbera toons, which is fine if you're into that, but I could always take or leave H-B, especially their 'funny animal' toons of the 60s, which I've never been a big fan of. The fact that it no longer airs Looney Tunes is a huge setback for me. Plus they very seldom rotate their schedule, and the few times they do, it isn't by very much. The channel's repetitiveness wears on the old nerves after a while. In short, promising idea, weak execution.

Boom needs a wider variety of shows and acquisitions.

It seems to me that an executive with stong work ethics could do both, as opposed to the lazy ones.

Shoot, I saw this thread, didn't know it was from last year, and thought Comcast was finally getting it  Lousy Comcast.
