The third episode of season two of Ben 10: Alien Force airs tonight on the You Are Here block. Here is the synopsis:

An alien impersonates Ben, complete with his own Omnitrix.

The idea sounds kind of cliche, but since last week's episode was just good enough to get me coming back for more, I'll check it out.

It's a Galvan named Albedo. He was Azmuth's apprentice before Myaxx and he tried to create his own duplicate Omnitrix. It ended up syncrohnizing with Ben's in every way, including having Ben Tennyson as the default form registered.

Also, Azmuth makes an appearance. They changed his voice.

Well I've always wanted to see Ben go up agianst evil Ben two. I wonder what the out come would be. Ben's gotten a lot better in his teen years with it so should be intresting. I do like evil Ben's voice. Episode airs tonight, so yah can't wait.

Albedo was good but I wished that, unlike Ben, he could've stopped saying his aliens' names when he transforms. That is a bit annoying now when I think about it. It's like Ben's a Digimon.

Did I hear "Surrender or die" from Ecco Ecco? Yes I did, it seems Albedo really had no problem with die or dead it seems Something which should not be a big deal but those words have became no nos recently. Albedo makes another good villain, far better then the Highbreed and DNAliens. I want him to return.

However Asmuth(SP)'s new voice is horrible.

Oh Albedo did transform a couple times without calling out the name unlike Ben who had to every time, and true to his name Albedo ended up with white hair.

The fact that he's a human using the Omnitrix, one of the most powerful devices in they're universe. And really if you're an alien looking at the human race on average.... you're not going to think very highly of it at all truthfully (of course that's kind of a topic for another thread on a different forum, but just saying why he'd have something against Ben).

If Kevin could of touched the wall behind him (which brings up a point: sometimes when it seems like has nothing to touch how come he dosen't go over and suck power from a wall? I'm sure it'd be better then just having say a metal arm from a sword or something) he could of busted out but since he had nothing to touch (besides foam and foam isn't going to help them get out of foam and he couldn't touch it with his hands anyway) he couldn't get out. As for Gwen... well she did break out of it eventually. Maybe she has weak eye lasers which probably should be something she should focus on training in the future then.

As Kevin said "now you're just teasing us". Which I'm applying more to the writers who know they're just giving us hints and clues without telling us the full story to draw out the suspense which is what we'll see at the end of this season I guess.

Gwen. She was the one who defeated Morngstar the first time and led to his defeat by getting reinforcements when he was Darkstar the second time around. So he probably has more reason to be annoyed with her then with Kevin. Don't know if we'll get an indivudal villian for Kevin for awhile though but hope it's a good character development ep for him whenever it happens.

Like a lot of CN's Standards, the use of the word death also threw me for a loop since there were times when they obviously got away with it and times when they danced around it more. I guess it depends on exactly what kind of context it's in and who says it or.. whatever. I swear having to be a censor is probably one of the most confusing jobs with how many regulations and stupid codelines you have to abide by in order to make everything pass network standards.

This is another one of those cliched ideas you kind of have to roll you're eyes at. I mean really, an evil clone with all of Ben's powers and Ben having to fight him and prove he's the real him? How many times have we seen that before? I mean didn't that happen in the orignal Ben 10's season two with Kevin imitating Ben? (wish that had been refrenced actually and Kevin saying something snarky about it) Then again the reasoning here is a lot different: the assisant of the Ominitrix feels Ben isn't worthy of the task of saving the universe (and if he just saw the original series I'd agree with him) so he makes an inferior Ominitrix and gets his DNA fused with Ben's so he actually becomes him and has to share his body's mannerisms. But he really just wants the regular Omintrix to switch back and prove Ben not worthy so it's not just some evil generic motive either. I also like how they tried identifying Ben as the real Ben (Kevin noticing that twitch as he lied and then trying to mark him with that X. Really Ben you should of just kept it since the kind of things that helped out the Strawhats in One Piece against another copyer sort of villian) and Ben getting help studying with Julie (nice they actually bother remembering to use her and remember she knows about Ben's "secret" since that wasn't seen since like last season actually). Plus we get to see more transformation fights as Ben and "Evil Ben" (that's obviously what he's become now) go at it in various alien forms. Sort of a shame they can't reuse those quick transformations since apparently that's not how the Omintrix is suppose to be used or something but still good to see them while they have it. Even Gwen and Kevin were used well taking out the Forever Knights pretty well and... well they got caught a bit too easily for my liking but that's really it on being outshined by Ben here. So yeah pretty solid ep. A bit too comedically cheesy at times (though if Chillie Fries are anything like Cheese Fries I can see Ben's like for them even if they are majorly unhealthy) but otherwise a pretty solid episode.

Awesome episode. Just caught it on my DVR and I loved it. Evil Ben was pretty cool and I do hope he returns. Poor Ben getting so bashed by the guy LOL. Ben and him had some pretty funny lines and I liked the fighting whether in human forms or alien forms. My favorite part was the end when evil Ben wanted Chillie Frys HAHAHA.
Seriously though Evil Ben is my new favorite villain. I need a picture of the guy so I can use him as my avatar :D
I can already tell what the season will be about...Can't wait though. Its been getting better and better each episode. Any one have an evil Ben with white hair picture? Its probaly to soon to have any out LOL.

Man another good episode. I mean this is the first time I've commented since Max Out but still when you look at this episode, you had a good episode in its midst.. Also it's funny that Albedo is the perfect foil for Ben even though he's a Galvin (Shades of Galvin Prime!)

as for Azmuth, I think when you listen to what he says, there's something that struck me as odd.. He says something about a surprise coming.. and here's what I think the surprise is:


Max Tennison isn't dead. It's what Azmuth said that makes this match up (In theory) with the Ben 10,000 episode from the original series where we see Max with a bionic arm at age 85.
My own theory suggests that when the null void projector went off in Max Out, Max and the Highbreed were sucked into the null void but the explosion caused Max to lose his right arm. Of course Azmuth (or some other plumber) might have been able to pull Max out of the null void and thus Azmuth, using alien tech built a new arm for Grandpa Max. (I think Max Tennyson is allive and well, and is being rebuilt as we speak.



But in the end Albedo is still a good foil, and we see some definite growth from Ben.. I give this episode an A for creativity and a B for surprises making this an A- for this grade. Too bad next week is Halloween.. I guess we'll have to wait till November 7th to see what is next in this series.

I'm pretty sure that they will put it on Monday. They usually like to have a show that premieres on the weekend have it's run on CN Video start the Monday after when they update CN Video so I think that's when you'll see it. Jsut have to wait till then lukecage. More on topic...

I still think it's just a way to remind people what the aliens are since the execs probably complained the kids who are just jumping in may not know the names of the aliens and want to make sure they're reminded anytime they see Ben transform. That's my own reasoning for it. Saying your name after every transformation otherwise would be more an ego thing, and since ten year old Ben didn't say it in the original Ben 10 I doubt the more mature, less self centered Ben of Alien Force would say it for that reason.

That method makes the face of Ben with a X had operated. but Ben was a stubborn in erasing the mark of the face so Kevin and Gwen had identified.:shrug:
