So the most hated action block in history is now the oldest living one. I was wondering, is it scheduled for destruction too? It seems wrong here(moreso),

How can it be the longest living one? Toonami beats it by a decade.

#1- It doesn't say longest living. It says oldest living, as in a block which is current, and that's inaccurate since Jetix on Toon Disney has been around longer. Without specifying the oldest living on CN, then it means all other networks have to be included, meaning DAS isn't the longest living action block. #2- Last time I checked, while [adult swim] is considered a different network, it still has a weekday block, a Saturday block, and a Sunday block. The Saturday block, which contains their action shows (minus Inuyasha) has still technically been around longer, so it's a false statement on two points.

Let's say though that Jayngfet specifically pointed out that it is the Oldest still going at this point in time on Cartoon Network (and not Adult Swim which is technically it's own network seperated from CN besides the fact both of them are on the same channel number) and asked if it's going to be revamped as well. The answer to that is a probably, but I'm not sure when. If they cancelled Fried Dynamite and rechristned Thursdays the new comedy night and are now having a slightly more mature take for the action movies on Saturday Night and action shows on Friday Night, I'm pretty sure that means they're going to also tweak Saturday Morning's block as well. Yeah it will still have a more kiddy image then the Friday and Saturday evening blocks but I don't see them keeping the Fried Dynamte Action for say another year with Fried Dynamite gone. They'll probably try a different makeover for it at some point next year whenever it stops becoming profitable and they can find a "good" cut off point for it.

I don't know if I'd call DAS the most hated action block in history. I personally like Jetix less because, although it has S:TAS and B:TAS (which they don't treat so well and which I think should be on CN again) DAS does have some good shows (Transformers, Pokemon). I don't think DAS will leave, the packaging will most likely be changed from the Fried Dynamite one to Nood-themed (I see it perfectly in my head). But I think it's getting good ratings, so it'll probably stay.

DAS will be replaced by a Nood-themed block, or Thumb Wrestling Federation in a year or so. I can bet on it.

Or it'll just be repackaged as a Nood themed block. I'm hoping that's what happens. The name "Dynamite Action Squad" is actually pretty good.

I can actually see that. CN picking those shorts up as wraparounds for DAS.

If they repackage the DAS I can tell you right here and now they'll have lots of angry fans regardless of how good it is.

...I watch DAS for The Secret Saturdays and Transformers: Animated (and sometimes Pokemon), not the packaging. DAS has no fans of it's packaging, unlike blocks like Toonami, Miguzi, and (to an extent) You Are Here.

DAS has fans?

I really liked the block back in April or so, when it had six premieres back-to-back: Blue Dragon, Pokémon, Alien Force, Transformers, Bakugan and Robotboy. That had a good blend of foreign productions mixed with domestic productions. I'd venture to say that was the best action lineup Cartoon Network has had in the past few years (yes, better than the lineups of Tooanmi and You Are Here).

Well, no, I wasn't a big fan of the packaging, but I didn't really mind.

I liked that about the block myself. Outside of Pokemon, I caught the other shows like Transformers, Alien Force and Bakugan on repeat slots since they were on at times that I wanted to watch something else. Plus, I don't have a well-functioning recorder on my VCR. Anyway, I also agree with you that it had the best lineup of action cartoons on CN in years. It beats out Toonami easily in my book. And considering how I've only really seen The Secret Saturdays and the new season of Alien Force on You Are Here and a good chuck of the block is dedicated to Clone Wars, I think I prefer DAS over it as well.

Though I wouldn't mind it if it was repacked into something else. Dynamite Action Squad is a pretty cool name, but I'm sure that it will have the Noods in there at some point. I would actually like that since the Noods look cool to me.

Most hated? i don't know I don't think it was hated more then it's Friday counterpart Fried Dynamite. No I'm sure fried Dynamite was more hated.

DAS just heals like a left over now, the only part of Cartoon network yet to be unified with the Nood look. It really feels out of place.

He said most hated action block. But I still disagree. Heck, I hated Toonami more than DAS when it came to programming in its final days. The only thing I watched it for was Jack.

Oh well I never hated Jetix. It might never have been as good as it could have been but I never hated it. In fact I like half of it's original shows and premiers. But for each their own.

Yeah DAS is the worst action block out there.

I was referring to the other block, you know the popular good block.

And I'd love to see a nood miguzi or SVES.

Why would they be angry? DAS partly killed Toonami anyways, by taking shows like Ben 10 Alien Force and Transformers Animated.

I'm not sure if I would blame DAS for that. I mean, CN were in charge of both blocks and if they really cared about Toonami, then they would have had a better schedule for Toonami, with or without shows like Alien Force and Transformers. Besides that, there is the whole issue of how Toonami was doing with its ratings to begin with.

Yeah, I wouldn't say DAS killed Toonami. If that were to be true, than it'd be possible to say that Miguzi also killed Toonami, which, once again, isn't true since both were still working strong and not conflicting during when Miguzi was still on. The only thing that killed Toonami were the execs who didn't give the shows a chance because they didn't wait for the ratings to get better and cut a show as soon as it dropped. But when it comes to what the first sign of Toonami's death was, I'd say that can be attributed to the cutting of 4 hours to 2, which we can sort of blame Goosebumps on.
