Ive heard rumours that theres gonna be a sequal to the Billy and Mandy movie called Underfist that was shown last saturday.
I loved the movie, and I think that they might do a sequal. This time a Christmas Special instead of a halloween one.

I hope they do a regular series, the original series had some awesome parodies.

Maxwell Atoms has stated that, if he was given the chance to do a sequel, it would be titled Underfist vs. the Dinosaurs. And it would be about Underfist being transported back in time, and having to deal with dinosaurs and Eris's good and evil halfs. It wouldn't be a Christmas special. However, if it does become a series, then a Christmas special is most than likely.

Maxwell Atoms also has reported that there are no current plans to do anymore Underfist project. He'd like to do them and has ideas for them obviously but it's not up to him. Only enough positive feedback about this to Cartoon Network to get Maxwell to do more Underfist will make more of them. I don't think that will really happen though considering that he's also pointed out something I've stated again and again: With Cartoon Network heading in a new direction they're getting rid of ties of any of they're older series, which would include Billy and Mandy and anything realted to it like Underfist. We're still in the transistion process so it hasn't fully come into affect but it's obviously happening. Really I don't see Underfist having a sequal or series unless kids 2-11 response was higher then it was for kim Possible at the end of it's third season. I mean it could but it seems really doubtful at this point which is a shame since there are some interesting places Underfist could go.

Atoms has said that he proposed a trillogy of specials and would like to make all three if possible.

It doesn't exactly have anything to do with Underfist, but Maxwell is currently doing some freelance on a Chowder storyboard. He also likes that Cartoon Network is more accepting of TV-PG programming now, and (if given the chance), he would like to make one for them. He's currently getting together a pitch for a brand-new kids show. He also said that he'd consider doing more Underfist if CN wanted to. And he said he likes the sprit of where the channel is going now.

Which basically means that he likes what they're trying to do, but not the shows that are coming out of it. I wonder what shows he dislikes. I'm sure he likes Chowder, since he's doing boards on that. Maybe I'm looking too deep into things.
Anyways, I don't think an Underfist series will be made. Not because it wasn't good or popular, but because the idea is currently in use or has been used recently. Underfist's ideas is kind of a mix between The Life and Times of Juniper Lee and The Secret Saturdays plus some unique factors, but even with those unique factors, I don't know if CN execs will except two monster-fighting shows airing at the same time.

No, not really. I recall an earlier blog post in which he says that, while he likes a lot of what's going on at the network, there are some things he doesn't like.

he likes Chowder, he was promoting Chowder in his Blog before it premiered, and well the creator of Chowder is Fred Fred Burger. Ok so maybe it's more knowing and respecting the creator then liking the show.

No, I'm sure he likes the show. And I'm sure he likes Flapjack too, seeing as a lot of the people working on that worked on Billy and Mandy. So I'm not sure exactly what he dislikes, but I guess we'll never know...

I think we have to just wait & see if CN wants to have an Underfist sequel/series or not. Though I'm curious on what Maxwell's future projects are. ;)

Same here I dont know what will become of Billy and Mandy. But if Billy and Mandy does Die out may it live on in Underfist. Much like General Scarr lives on in Billy and Mandy.

I'd love it if some other show took Scarr, then another when that ended. It could be a regular running gag.
And Scarr with flapjack would be stupid awesome.
I bet he was referring to some shows universally disliked by the crowd he's like to aim for(J Test, Bakugan). He might not be a TDI fan.

Evil Con Carne was a pretty good show. Was never sure why it didn't catch on. At least General Skarr got unto the main show, and the other Evil characters had their own episode segment in a later season. :) Billy and Mandy may be finished, but I hope Underfist shall continue the "legacy".

I was hoping that Maxwell Atoms would give some Skarr rights to C.H. Greenblatt, or at least Fred Fredburger. Either of them would do good on Chowder, enspecially the latter because he was created by Mr. Greenblatt himself.
I don't think so. Unlike BAM, Chowder really has no relation to Skarr. He would look out of place.

I don't think either of them will have a good place in the Chowder universe unless a major redesign was to take place.

I think they will. Underfist supposedly did better than both Har Har Tharsdays and YAH last week. It was the tied for #1 program amongst kids 6-11. And seeing as how Har Har Tharsdays and YAH are currently CN's big money makers, anything that does better than them is going to get picked up right away. Therefore, I think Underfist will live on.

Speaking of Eris, I have this episode idea if it became a series. My idea is a Beatles parody with Eris as Yoko Ono and Hoss as John Lennon. Not an exact Beatles parody, but Eris would cause desenction amongst our heros.

Another reason why I hate chowder. Why would he want to work on chowder  when he can finish his Masterpiece

That's not exactly fair now, is it? If Atoms wants to work on Chowder that's his choice. It's entirely possible that - even though Underfist did really well - there won't be any follow-up to it, especially if Atoms has already moved on.
CN would have to be interested enough to get Atoms and his crew together again to produce more specials or a spin-off series. It's not like everyone is sitting around with bated breath waiting for CN to pick up the phone and order more Underfist. It would be nice if we got more of this franchise but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Maxwell Atoms said that IF Cartoon Network ever wanted another Underfist movie, and he accepted to do so, then that would be the plot. It isn't known if Cartoon Network greenlighted another movie yet. If they did, Maxwell would have said so on his blog.

I don't think he would have, Cartoon Network usually tends to make people keep things secret for a bit, otherwise maybe Craig McCracken would've told us something about Cartoonstitute, or rather anything, the only thing I know so far is that Chris Battle is working on one of the shorts.
Anyways, I'm sure that CN is looking to greenlight an Underfist show or sequel movie if they haven't done so already, seeing how it did so well. It beat Clone Wars for heaven's sake!

So yeah. It's probably gonna get a series. I can't see them making another movie. But a series is pretty likely.

Lauren said something about Cartoonstitue months ago, and Craig said something about it back in August (I think). They aren't really entitled to tell us a bunch of names and shorts.
All we know is that Cartoonstitute should probably be finished summer/fall 2009. (20 months)

I know we won't be getting short names or character names, I was really actually hoping for some info on the people working on it. Besides Craig and Rob, the only one I know of is Chris (Battle).

But Lauren said back in April that we should be seeing it on TV at least 9 months later, which would place the show somewhere in January.

I don't think a series is going to be done. The plot seems to similar to shows like TSS or Juniper Lee to be made into a series. But I think that a sequel movie is definitely going to happen, and then maybe if that does equally well, then we'll see a series.

Why. It only beat out THAT week's competition. And the fact it was advertised as a Billy and Mandy movie probably helped with that. Another movie is more likely than a full out series.
