Because spelling "death" the correct way is old hat.

And it's been old hat for over the two years the show has been on. Serious "Deth" is the new thing. Where have you been Speedy?:D

I'm pretty sure this is one of the few episodes that dosen't have any of the Tribuanal board members TALKING in it. One of the few without a big bloody ending for a bunch of minor players, and one of the few that acutally focuses on the band recording an album seriously (for the most part) without really goofing off. Dethklok has put off on working on the album for awhile now, rather going on vacations or getting more money or doing other things not related to really playing music. Finally though they focus here and the results are actually pretty enjoyable. Obviously not all episodes can be like this but the focus on just mainly the band (with the manager, the newscaster and even the recording supervisor just appearing and disappearing out) works pretty well here. There's a lot of funny moments from the band: Pickles being annoyed everyone is talking over his recordings and eating without him, Swkisgar having a buzzing sound anytime he's holding the guitar and having the record in mid air, Nathan wanting to record in a giant suit of armor and talking about how ne needs to wail the flair around (Guess he's also in that kind of heavy metal... ugh, that was just a bad pun to say), Murderface and Toki creating they're own song about taking it easy (I think some people have made that song before though. I know Long John Baldry did a taking it easy song for awhile before he died), Toki accidentley erasing Skisgar's tracks, Nathan, Skisgar and Pickles comments on Toki and Murderface's song (I this is one of the few times where all the Brendon small band members gang up on the Tommy Blacha voiced band members) and the ending leading up to the song. How this will lead to the finale closing remains to be seen but pretty good stuff here with a nice musical theme in the background. It's not one of those big shakedown eps but it's a nice kind of quiet one (even with all the music playing) before the big finales. And probably one of the better ones of the season actually due to having no slow spots at all.

EDIT: Clarified my point to Finn since I know he appeared at the end but this was one of the time he didn't have any lines at all besides just making a non speaking cameo.

@ Neo Ultra Mike-

Actually, the head of the Tribunal (the one who made people's heads explode at the end of last season) appeared briefly at the end for no adequately explained reason.

The Tommy Blacha-voiced half cannot write like the Brendon Small-voiced half.

I wanted Toki to throw those hot towels.

Murderfaces singing voice is even harder to understand then Nathans  I'm glad Toki isn't in Planet piss! to bad he didn't throw those towels! whats that Tribunal guy at the end foreshadowing? maybe the bands new album will bomb and they'll all be hated or something

It goes beyond just that though thinking about it. It was stated in "Dethreligion" that they just phase away all of Murderface's bass playing when they record they're songs anyway so they don't technically need him in the band. And in "Dethlessons" we find out Toki can't really even play guitar that well (something that was also shown here). Swisgar is an obviously accomplished guitarist, Nathan is the well known singer and writer of the songs and Pickles obviously can play drums well, but it seems that the Tommy Blacha voiced members of the band are... kind of useless. Was that intentional? Did Blacha agree that his main band characters (besides the rational and keeps the band together manager) wouldn't really do much in the actual band? Since that's become really apparent by this point. Though I do think that Toki and Murderface's song was decent even if it wasn't exactly Dethklok level or anything.

Speaking of the song I have to disagree with that. I could understand the point of it fine. Murderface's singing voice (also heard in "Cleanzo") isn't too hard to understand. There are times I can barley pick apart the main point of Nathan's songs though but I for the most part heard all of Murderface's.

I'm glad Toki isn't in Planet piss!

Actually according to the last episode "Snakes 'n' Barrels II" Toki OWNS Planet Piss's domain name and band name so he technically owns the idea. It isn't stated if he gave it back to Murderface but I still assume he owns the band. Or at least would like clarification if he dosen't.

I doubt that will happen (I do think something will happen to Dethklok by the end of season 2 though in the finale) but that'd be an interesting way to take the series: The band now is hated by everyone and has to struggle they're way back to the top now that they've sunken to the bottom. It'd make for some interesting season 3 writing but we'll see if they go in that direction or not.
