I start my 4th year of college on August 27th. Although I'm not technically a senior since I'm behind a few credits. Well, anyway, my summer is pretty much over! I guess that's the same situation for some of you.

So, how was your summer 2008?

Mine was okay, I guess. I was laid off from work (darn economy), so that messed things up a bit. However, I still managed to have some fun. Having so much free time allowed me to do many things I normally wouldn't have the time to do, so that's good.

so far the summer is going ok. haven't done as much camping as i would've liked, but i plan on remedying that here in the next couple of months. camping is always better in september/october anyway. besides that, the only other big event that took place for me was quitting my old job at a small public accounting firm and moving to wisconsin where i'm a corporate accountant for menards inc. really enjoying my job there

I think I had an okay summer, but it might be safe to say that my summer has ended already. I went to Colorado on the 7th, came back on the 14th, and now I have to go back to work tomorrow. My job really sucks. Anyway, it was really good to get away from it all, and in a place where I wouldn't have to worry about humidity.

Eh, I worked, went to my grandfather's funeral, had a nice vacation in Vegas...a pretty decent summer, I suppose. Wished I would've utilized my free time better, but ah well.

Eh, I've spent most of it by myself in the house my parents are gradually moving into... and it's in a secluded area, so it's kinda creepy. Otherwise, I've worked, spent some time with the siblings, made it to an R.E.M. concert (sooo fantastic) and am likely going to see the Backstreet Boys next week.

Classes start the 25th for me. I have newspaper training (going to be a section editor) and writing center training (going to be a writing tutor) this week and then moving in to the dorm this weekend. I can't believe summer is already over.

I had a huge graduation party with a lot of my famly over, went to Virginia for a few days, had a 3 day orientation for college, hung out with my friend, and had my little cousins over for a few days. Otherwise, not much else. I move in to my dorm on Thurs. Summer sure flys by.

I've mostly been dealing with summer school stuff. No one wanted to hire me. My old highschool friends don't seem to want to hang out anymore and college life has spoiled me, b/c I can't stand living with my parents now.

...Good lord I can't wait to get back to college.:D

It's been alright. Highlight was my (first ever) trip to Disney World I took with my sister's family. But not much besides.

It's also part of the argument of maturing. My life is less eventful now than when I was a teenager, but it's also a lot less stressful as well. mixed blessings, and all...

Well I worked all summer and I had several swim practices sprinked in there.

But I did hang out with my friends more often than I have in past years. I think this was one of my best summers ever. And now I get to look foward to my first year in college. Wish me luck. :anime:

My summer was the best one Ive had in a long time. I hung out with my friends alot more then I have gotten to and despite my really bad job at the movie theatre I was able to earn a good sum of money. Now Im really excited to go back to college.
Overall, a success.

Aside from one of the busiest summers on record from where I work, this summer wasn't too bad. Got to finally go on a nice vacation and see my dad in Baltimore since I have not seen him in four years, and I hung out with friends. I cannot wait to go back to school though, I have one more week to go and I just want to relax and learn, I am very tired of long lines and grumpy people. But just watch, before school is over, I'll probably be ready to go back to work.

My summer has been pretty awesome. Stayed in NYC for an internship and volunteer work for the majority of the summer before coming back home for Otakon. Right now I'm just relaxing with some awesome Olympics action, and next week will bring the Democratic National Convention.

I don't start class until after labor day (junior in college!), so I'm not even thinking about school right now, to be honest.

I had a few bad days at work, and by "bad days" I mean "days that probably weren't that bad and I'm just whining because I'm spoiled, ungrateful, and don't realize how lucky I am." I've been doing major thinking about my future and where my life will take me as my last year of college approaches, as well as doing some major thinking about my personal life and spiritual journey.

I had a more quiet summer than the last two years, but a much more fulfilling one. I think this is the best summer yet. Looking forward to my last year of animation school and then back to the real world.

When it wasn't raining, it was alright, but boy did it rain... and rain... and rain...
I also studied the anatomy of Arabian Camels and dealt with a hungry, frequently escaping horse.

I'm disappointed that I couldn't do more painting over the summer, but like I said... rain. All the freaking time.

Just as dull and uneventful as the last 25 have been, but at least I've been employed this entire summer.

Eh, it wasn't too bad. The kicker however is that I've already graduated and am still searching for a job, so that's rather troublesome at the current moment.

Seriously awesome I enjoyed my brothers visiting and going to New York to spend time with my family.

It's strange to be going into 10th grade in only two weeks..

My summer has been over since August 1st. Now, I'm a Freshman. It feels good knowing there's only four more years left......and then 4-8 more of college..........

Been going to Adult Services (for adults with disabilities to hang out, and going to the library and the neighborhood swimming pool.

Also, been getting into some new animes courtesy of the library (Boys Over Flowers, D N Angel and Ranma 1/2).

I start my second year at college two weeks from tomorrow so I'll soon have to prepare for the new year. Anyway, my summer has been good to me. I've had a great, relaxing break at home, watched television, played some of my video games, and listened to music. My family and I went on a trip to a lake, my mom and I went to touch the water from the San Francisco Bay and my parents and I went to a beach where my mom and I ran on the beach and were constantly washed by the water of the Pacific ocean. Overall, I've had a fun summer and I'll miss it when I go back to school, yet I'll also feel more comfortable about the change in my schedules once I get used to it.

You're not the only one. I've been job hunting since the beginning of this year, and still can't get anything largely in part due to the economy here right now.

Horrible. I got $200 in 8th grade graduation/church confirmation money and my mom won't let me spend any of it. I went to one friends house once for one night. I had one friend over for one night. The computer had to be replaced and I lost a hundred of my comic pages. And all the sprite sheets.

I lost my 1?? page book I've been writing, but I have a backup on my USB drive somewhere. I got one new video game. I have to go to the doctor tomorrow for shots, than to my first day of high school on Wednesday.

And my first class is Algebra. Way to kick off the school year.

In essence: It sucked.

Yea, man. The economy is so bad at the moment. Like I said in my first post, I got laid off and I'm still searching for work.

Pretty terrible. My relatives made sure to that.

Thankfully, there were a few bright spots. But something has to change and soon. 'Cause I sure as hell ain't going through that again.

I thought it was pretty Awesome, rode some roller coaster, swam in a lake, went to a ball game, took a tour of Cleveland, Football Hall of Fame, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Also lounging around playing Halo 3, and some other games went well.
