This was a GREAT episode.

The below scene truly sums up my feelings for this episode.

Customs Agent, "Mr. ahh... Trigger. Are you here for business or pleasure?"

Trigger, "Ecstasssy!"

Rotflmao! :D

The OSI made the biggest mistake ever, the made Brock a 'free agent' and then tried to kill him.

It was nice seeing Shoreleave and Hunter Gathers again.

Also, Cocktease's group reminded me of Bill's (Kill Bill) death squad.

The three hitmen were fun to watch, where each unique in look and how they fought Brock. And Brock has a new look.

The chase scene between Brock and Trigger was fun to watch, including the way it ended.

P.S. I like the new Trigger character. Rarely do you see a character so 'in' to his work. ;)

Although I do like the premise of Brock on the run due to him being out of OSI and having them after him (and by conjecture the Ventures... heh rhymey) and having to stay one step ahead is a pretty solid plot that could defintley stretch for a two season finale. And the subplot of the Monarch and co invading the Ventures while there not there was pretty good too. Still there's an epicness that isn't found here when compared to "Showdown In Cremation Creek" The two parter from last season. Maybe it's because we've only heard from less of the cast compared to the last two parter (besides the Venture family and the Monarch family we only hear from Sgt Hatred, Colonel Gathers, Moltov and some former OSI agents shown in that flashback from early in the season) or maybe because it seems more like an action plot instead of just a more humorous various turns and twisting plot seen in most other ventures. Though there were some good action scenes here mainly from the assasins (really liked the first burning the oil and then getting the ejector seat dropped on him, the second wheeling Brock around and having sharks come after him and Brock taking him out by using the old shark and bait... wait who used that before? Oh and the third having the sword battle and brock taking him out while Hank distracted him with Batman talk was good stuff as well). And the ending of the two agents and the cocoon being brought in wasn't as epic as the ending of the first part of the last two parter. Still some good stuff. Most humorous would have to be Brock's reflection on his car and Rusty's attidue towards not being afraid of guys coming after them, the VR Similuation of the Monarch vs the Ventures and then driving there so they wouldn't suspect anything, Sgt Hatred jetting past them and the Monarch's annoynedness at that, Hank mentioning the whole Lassy trick that Brock tried pulling, "but we won the car chase!", Helper acting as a wheel rudder to shield the family and being forgotten, the holy diver's armor up sequence, The monarch giving orders to the others and Mrs. Dr wanting to seduce... uh sudbude brock and 24 being told he can just kill the robot, and Brock's annoynedss at the French Swordsman giving him the "it will be an honor to fight you" and asking why all swordsman keep talking about they're swords (heh he should ask that to the cast of Bleach thinking about it). Really solid stuff even if not as good as the last first parter season finale from Season 2.. at least for now anyway.

What a awesome end to the season(first part, at least)! If you thought Brock was being underused this season, it because they saved him for this. Pretty much twenty five minutes of pure Brock killing people in various degrees of mayhem. The further interactions with him and Col. Gathers is just too funny, as is the spoof on bibleman. I can't wait for part II. I also know I will be buying the DVD set the day it comes out.

It should come out around the same time Season 3 did next year. That was the benefit of ordering 26 episodes instead of 13: shorter wait period.

Since I'm going to see this episode on television Sunday, can someone tell me what the uncut footage is(you can put it in spoiler tags if you want)?

I'm not quite sure what it was, though I'd assume they'd cut any scene showing...

One of the assassins is a bit over the top about his gun, and treats it in a rather... um... erotic way. I think you get the gist of it.

According to Jackson's latest blog entry, Season 4 is tentatively scheduled for next fall. Better than the two year wait, but yeah, I can't believe Season 3 is almost over.

This was a really epic episode. I loved the car chase, the new assassins (especially the one who idolizes Batman--or at least his rogues), and the return of Shore Leave. The Monarch's subplot dragged a bit; I'm curious as to where that's all going. I hope we'll see more of Molotov and her Blackhearts before next episode is over.

Yeah, I was just reading that...well, if it comes out good, that's what's important. I'm just so impatient. I also have to wait for Lost (January 2009), The Office (Late September 2008), and a bunch of other stuff. The Venture Brothers may have made my list of top cartoons I've ever seen with this episode though, and I'm sure season 4 will be well worth the wait, still wish we didn't have to though. Any news on the Season 3 DVD he speaks of?

No. This is what he said:

Our plan is to get a couple of scripts ahead and then resume production in mid-September. I'm not sure yet where that puts us in terms of a Season 4 premiere date, but I'm guessing we're looking at next Fall.
Production is resuming this fall, the premiere date is roughly scheduled for next fall.

Two things I forget to mention about the episode.

HELPER is the VB answer to Skynet.

And Hank can understand HELPER's beeps as words.

Hank to Brock about HELPER, "He (HELPER) often talks about the coming war between humanity and the 'brotherhood of machines'."

Maybe another villian group in the making. ;)

The evolution of the characters is one of the great things about Venture Bros. It looks like Hank is closing in on the big secret about him and his brother. Of the two, I think Hank will be the one I see in a scenario where he will end the cycle of death and rebirth. This will be a good thing IMO as I think it's a major contribution to their unstable personalites. That and their 60's learning beds.

Ouch...Brock's poor nipple. Anybody gonna sew that back on, or is he going to lose 1/8 of his manhood forever?

So, after appearing here and there in other episodes, even ones that don't involve the Venture family, we now have:

1.) An eery simulation of Brock dying in the beginning,

2.) A relentless organization that's trying to hunt him down, complete with gimmick assassins,

3.) A sudden design change (bald),

4.) Motel antics,

Yeah, he's going to bite it.

Brock also threw a knife into his chest. And he was hit by a car, flew twenty feet in the air into a puddle of burning oil and was still able to get up and fire a rocket launcher at the X-1, which Brock was on at the time.

That's entering Brock level of indestructiablity.

And by did Helper save the day when the X-1 went down.

Despite my brand of humor, I have too many scruples to make a joke about Trigger's thing he has with guns.

The Monarch has the WORST possible timing.

Sgt. Self-Hatred.

I hope Brock wasn't needing that nipple.

Batman does have the best villains. Joker, Scarecrow, Penguin, Mr. Freeze. Much better than a bald megalomaniac or an imp who dispappears when you say his name backwards.

Lots of great quotes in this one ...

Hank: "But we won the car chase! Unfair!"

Topped by The Monarch: "Where the **** are you?!"

Only Brock could use a shark in such ways. James Bond has nothing on Brock Sampson - who loses his hair AND a nipple this time out. Can't remember Brock ever taking a beating like he did in this ep, but in the end he prevails ... for now, anyway.

Onward to Part 2 next week

That was the most absurd 20-some minutes I've seen in a Venture Bros. episode in a long time.

That's why it rocked so hard.

Man, Brock was on fire tonight. Everything he did was both hilarious and cool with the fights he had with all three of the assassins: catching Hank as he falls back with his seat, unknowingly landing on top of the first assassin with their ejection seats, disguising a shark to look like him, then having the shark behead the second assassin with its teeth, and then the final brawl in the motel where Brock lost his nipple (which Dean oddly found). Rusty and the boys were also funny as well, delivering quirky moments amongst all the chaos. And while The Monarch wasn't the main focus of the episode, his gang still provided us with humor when they were on screen. Great episode.

I didn't like a couple of episodes this season and I wasn't sure if this would be the best season ever, but this episode exceeded my expectations. It turned out to be not only the best of the season, but I think the entire series so far. The best part of this episode was the shark with Brock's mullet, it nearly killed me with awesomeness.

So many hot guys in this episode too, the assassin in the Batman towel, the Holy Diver, and of course, Brock, who looks a hell of a lot better without his mullet! :D

Funniest visual gag for me was the somewhat distanced shot of Brock dragging that corpse into the bathroom where Rusty was in the tub, then all you hear is a scream and then Rusty running out and just vomiting all over the floor...the fact that it wasn't done in a closeup but from like a far off third person camera is what made it so funny.

I hope it's not too late for me to comment on this. I thought it was a very action-packed ep!!!:D Here are my thoughts:

1. I thought the part in the VR room (the part that wasn't shown on CN) was very intense!!!

2. I thought those assassin ladies looked hot!;) :anime:

3. The car-chase was very exciting!:D

4. The part with Brock surviving against those sharks was great!:D

5. Mrs. Dr. Monarch looked hot as always!:anime:

6. The running gag with Dr. Monarch's henchman having to pee was hilarious!!!:D

7. The best action moment was definately in that motel room!!!:D It was weird how Hank liked Le Toures' Batman towel!:p

A great ep!!! I can't wait to see the conclusion to this season finale!:D
