There's been a new Shin Chan on Adult Swim Video for the past 2 hours, so I figured since nobody else has, I'll start this thread. It will also air Saturday (technically Sunday) at midnight if you don't watch it now. The episodes are "A Penny for Your Thoughts and Suicidal Tendencies", "It's Raining Shin", and "*****r, Sword Receiveth!"

A Penny For Your Thoughts - I really liked this one. This one showcased the personalities of the supporting particularly Penny, Maso, and Miss Katz. Penny is like Lucy from the Peanuts gang, the bossy bully girl of the group, so it is only natural she pretends to be a psycologist. And they are showcaisng Miss Katz psycotic side, she is crazy. I am glad they are bring that to the FUMination dub.

We know what Georgie wanted to hide, his love to the heiress show.

It's Raining Shin - Nothing great, but Shin having fun being pushed by the wind, was so Shin like, and I have to admit, I would have fun too, doing that.

(Censored) Sword Receiveth - I didn't know the first word of the episode title was so bad. Finally the Kento teacher is back. The guy is weird. This episode was okay, I am glad they advance the Kento arc, hopefully they get to the climatic Kento tournament episodes.

A Penny for Your Thoughts and Suicidal Tendencies - Penny starts a rehab and Miss Katz talks about her personal life even mentioning Iraq. I laughed at the cardboard pixels and I wonder, Why can't Boo use it on Shin's a--?

It's Raining Shin - A typhoon hits Japan and Mitzi gets worried about Shin not coming home. I noticed that Maso has a Gamecube.

D----r, Sword Receiveth - D----r teaches Shin kendo at the Dojo of Destiny which seems to be condemned. Finally, we're getting closer. I hope the Kendo tournament episode comes on next week.

To Jtaylor1: Maso also has a Xbox as well as a Gamecube as well. Guess he is a gamer despite being such a... well you know.:D

"A Penny For Your Thoughts And Sucidial Tendacies" - Yeah I have to say I'm still not a fan of the general start of these "Penny forces the guys to do some inane activity they don't want to do because she'll go psycho crazy on them if they don't" kind of plotlines. Unlike this time though it didn't just end up going sour for Penny for some inane reason. Rather this time they get someone else involved and that's how it ends up turning the whole thing around. So yeah though the whole start of this segment was kind of a washout I did like Maso being put in the confession seat with the pixilated mask Boo made and telling Penny about this girl who keeps being a b**** control freak to him and writes horrible plays that Penny can't grasp his her (seriously I would of liked to see Maso stand up to her and go somewhere but guess we can't have that sort of japanese progressive comedy can we). The story did get better though involving Mrs. Katz and the kids questioning on why she seems alone and desperate and has to lie about guys falling for her when they clearly don't. The whole non agressive man thing wasn't too funny but the end with them conferring on what they should tell her and Katz hearing and walking off and wanting Mrs. Polly to do things to her was rather funny. So I'd say this one was kind of a mix of good and bad highlighted by breaking the traditions of a Penny plot and adding someone else to the mix for a more itneresting overall idea.

"It's Raining Shin" - Eh not really too good a segment. The idea of Shin being trapped in a storm and having to borrow Maso's clothes was really only good the first time, not the second and third times they tried repeating the joke. Not to mention that there weren't any real memorable one lines and the lapse of Shin getting lost in the storm didn't make for too much interesting commentary. I did like the weather man plugging the water for his studio and being totally deadpan, Shin's comments on getting nude in Maso's house and Shin enjoying flying around with an umbrealla in the rain. And I guess "you wanted me home. That's a change". Otherwise not so good stuff. I blame the segment though since that's not much you can rinse out here that'd be enjoyable since the rain defintley kind of dampens all the fun.

"D*****, Sword Recieveth" - Eh another kind of weak segment truthfully. I do like seeing the Kendo teacher ending up being that psycho who was Shin's teacher since it may lead to that Kendo tournament plot everyone was talking about but kind of an eh segment truthfully. Besides Shin enjoying the creaking floor, "I look a lot less concerned then I actually am", Shin actually learning how to hold his sword by hodling it like his... "sword" and the ending Hiro and Mitzy comments nothing really too funny. Really Shin and the teacher's guy was sort of funny the first time around but without anyone new to bounce off of it dosen't really work a second time as well. Espically since we already know this guy's sort of a fraud and has a crazy voice in his head which aren't terribly funny running gags.

Overall pretty weak ep truthully. The first was decent but the second and third defintley mediocre at best making this one pretty Mediocre overall.

A Penny For Your Thoughts and Suicidal Tendacies - There's got to be a logical reason why Miss Katz came to Japan. She might have accidently enlist herself to the US Army or maybe tried to avoid the draft. As I said in my previous post, Miss Katz mentioned Iraq. Didn't anyone else notice the cardboard pixels?

It's Raining Shin - A pun of the 70s song "It's Raining Men".

I declare the Title of Episode 44 "Reck of a Life".

Update: Miss Katz made a Harry Potter referrence.

Typhoon skit was the best this time. Love the overly calm meteorologist with stuff like "...Oh by the way, typhoon's coming."

"Wind doesn't break me, it's the other way around." :D

Love Shin having fun in the strong wind. "This'll be fun 'til the lightning hits."

"For the record, that's mostly water."

"I even called Micchi and I hate her!"

"I'm still down for the nudist idea, you can get naked too."

The therapy skit was cute but not particularly hilarious, though it was amusing to see Penny and Katz connect regarding shy boys.

"Maso's more manly than you. He's got two balls."

Awesome blur effect simulator.

Whoever wrote Boo's dialog for this episode deserves a raise.

"This isn't what I meant by Super Happy Fun Time!"

"Another @#$%ing storm!" I love it when people shout random things.

Of course Shin makes a fart joke.

"This'll be fun until the lightning strikes."

"Now I'll teach you to strike and then to speak telepathically."

I bet FUNi has some explaination why Miss Katz came to Japan.

Even Boo keeps making Harry Potter referrences.
