Think about it. If Rusty, Dean, Hank, H.E.L.P.eR.,Brock, Molotov Cocktease, The Monarch (And his minions), Dr. Girlfriend, 21 & 24, and Jonas Venture, Jr. (And his team) all joined forces, they could probably take them down.

(As I describe each character, I'm describing their usefulness in combat.)

Rusty - He's good at thinking up high-tech weaponry and although he's not so hands-on, he can still help build some. He's also good at hiding and running away.

Dean & Hank - They're pretty accidental heroes. I can see them being helpful in a pinch. They're pretty much invincible by which I mean they narrowly escape dangerous situations and even if they die, a new batch of clones can be made.

H.E.L.P.eR. - Just equip him with some good weapons and make sure he knows who's the enemy, he'll be a good edition to the team. Plus he's a robot, he can be rebuilt.. I think.

Brock - Must I really explain his contributions? He's a one man army. A killing machine. For those of you who watch the show know I don't need to go any further.

Molotov Cocktease - She's like a female Brock and she obviously has some deadly assassin skills. Having her around is like having a mini-Brock around.

The Monarch - He's not the strongest fellow around but he does have two great things for battle. A fleet of minions at his commmand and deadly dart shooters. His minions can act as a distractions and they can help out a bit.

Dr. Girlfriend - I can't seem to think of anything for her except for those Moppets she has. Feel free to fill in the blanks here.

21 & 24 - They're "ability" to not be killed on missions is perfect for something like this. And that ability is substantially heightened with Brock on the their team and not the opposing side.

Jonas Venture, Jr. - He's what Rusty could be if he applied himself. Jonas Jr. can definitely kick some butt and with his team behind him, he can be a force to reckon with.

I know I probably left out some people who might be able to help but this isn't just my opinion alone, I made this thread to see what others think of taking down the GoCI and what the possibilities of doing so are. So start thinking of something.

I'm pretty sure Jonas alone could beat them all with that robot.

No they cannot be "taken down". They create stability in chaos. Without them all of the super villains would unrestricted, and chances are they'd flip out and kill who ever they had a grudge on that week. It'd be like taking the government away from a stable society.

Plus a world without David Bowie is a lot less magical.

That seems alot of work, and planning too. They are what "makes the world go round" so to speak.

Id say if you think you taken them down, they come back at ease. They have been around since 1914, i think thats more than enough time to come up with a strong system and have protocals and other things to bounce them back if something were to happen.

There like Al Queda, you think you have taken them down, then you still hear about them on the news.

Then again, nothing is impossible. Of course, Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick can find a way to "write" away the Guild...

I don't think they can be "taken down", per say. It's like Dr. Girlfriend said, You throw a rock, they throw a knife. You throw a knife, they come in your house when your sleeping and kill your family. And even if you get rid of the Guild's top guys, you have, like Brock said: A bunch of costumed weirdos trying to get you with henchmen, death rays, and shark things.

The Guild basically keeps the loony bin of villains in check, take that away and the inmates go crazy.

I posted my theory on the Guild in the episode discussion about the Orb but here it is again.

We see from the Orb episode that the Guild started out much like a 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' type of scenario. And much like the movie, there could be in the Guild, ulterior motives to their existence than just being an organziation for super villians.

As we see in the Orb episode, the Guild was not meant to become the 'evil' organization it appears to be currently. Much the opposite. But as the nature of the group began to change, perhaps they realized in their genius, that many things need a counterpoint.

I'm speculating that the Guild of Calamatous Intent created the OSI. Much like a game of chess, you need an opponent of equal capability to be sitting across from you for a good game. By having an opposite organization promoting and providing counterparts to their super villians, the Guild ensures that there is a force out there that will rein them in if need be, as well as providing a structure that will regulate the destructive genius of their members getting out of hand and 'ruining the party'.

So the Guild will never be taken down. But at the same time, it is ultimately *not* in the Guild's interests to become too strong and eliminate all its enemies. Like the old Peter Sellers movie about Fu Manchu, when the super villian got the elixer vitae that granted him immortality, he gave some of the potion to the film's hero-- his old nemesis so that the fight can continue, hopefully forever.
