How many times do I have to see "the incredible Mr. Bixby" (or whatever his name is) do that same unfunny guidance councelor bit? Oh yeah, every day apparently. It's gotten to the point I mute the TV when they're on. And I find the whole Big Baby thing just grotesque, as well. I hope these aren't new shows they're going to be trotting out this Fall. The animation is utterly charmless, and they're neither clever or funny...at least IMO.

I enjoy Mr. Bixby. Also hes playing a career counselor.

I do agree with you on Big Baby though.

I know how you feel. Every time I see Big BabyI just want to shout at the tv "HE'S A GIANT BABY!!!!!!!!" I mean, they always call on him as if he's some kind of action hero! And don't even get me started on the "untalented" Mr. Bixby...:mad:

I think the Wedgies are a good concept, because these are toons meant for five minutes of airtime only, instead of playing condensed versions of old CN original half-episodes when time needs to be filled up.

Problem is, other than Nacho Bear or Mr. Bixby, the ones I've seen tend to not be that amusing. Especially Big Baby, that one I have no clue what CN was thinking with that one.

The wedgies would have been a great idea if they didn't suck so bad!
Their unfunny, unoriginal and pointless. Mr bixby ones are alright but not great.

Let's put it this way. We still have animation right? The problem is that these ideas aren't very good ones.

Yeah its good they aren't live action, but they could have thought about the storylines instead of just thinking for 5 minutes and coming up with something cheesy.

I'm tired of them because they suck.
Though Nacho Bear seemed pretty good.

I can't watch Nacho Bear without wanting to have some Nachos myself.

It's like product placement!

The first time I saw the Wedgies I thought they would be promising. I noticed the terrible storylines and terrible animation right away, though. I waited to see what else they would dish out, but I gave up after Mr. Bixby came out. The plotlines and characters sicken me. The best of the Wedgies is Nacho Bear, and that's not even that good.

I honestly don't even look at the TV when a wedgie is on, and I manage to give a few token seconds to Johnny test.

Next Wedgie will be Pizza Monkey!

Oh boy, what else CN can come up with this time?:p

Maybe there will be an animated short that will be well animated and good with the storytelling that it will spill off in its own series....or just give us those old music videos CN used to do back in the day.

I meant videos like the Elmer fudd mix CN made or the Josie and the Pussycats "Music Through the Ages" vid.

I mean maybe CN could get some good mix artists to make club mixes for some of their popular show theme songs or theme music.

Yeah...they were pretty good, as I recall. Better than these cheap, first-year-animation-school 'wedgies'.

I'm mainly getting tired of seeing Mr. Bixby as a career counselor all the time. I think that Nacho Bear is pretty good and I actually enjoy the Big Baby ones since that kind pokes fun at the serious drama/action type of series. They have potential to be really good, but other than the two I mentioned, they mostly fall down pretty flat.

I find Mr. Bixby as a Bill Cosby look alike and African-American stereotype who, unlike Oscar Proud from The Proud Family, is annoying yet he doesn't get treated like a Wile E. Coyote type character.

I have no problem with these wedgies being unfunny and unentertaining--however when the same one *cough*mr.bixby*cough* is played over and over again, it gets extremely boring.

Personally, I like the wedgies. Reminds me of the good 'ol days of What a Cartoon Show. Granted, I may not like all of 'em, but this is kinda like an art show where stuff is put up to be judged. There's gonna be good, there's gonna be bad, and there's gonna be turkeys. Still, it's kinda fun when I catch a new one.

I don't expect Big Baby to become a 30-minute an ep show with 20 ep seasons or anything though... Some stuff just wouldn't work outside the wedgie format. But I could see possibilities for Mr. Bixby and that one 'toon about the band that I keep forgetting the name of...

That would be The Bremen Music Experience.

How on Earth does it remind you of WAC! The WAC ! Shorts were well animated and had good characters and stories for the majority of the shorts. For these Wedgies it seems like they're taking any random idea they get and they just animate it.

I never liked the idea from the start. I agree that they overplay Bixby more than any of the other Wedgies. The Carrer one is the worst, I just can't stand it anymore. :(

God, I HATE the Wedgies. They seemed like a good idea at first, but after watching them, they were terrible and horridly ugly.

Nacho Bear and Big Baby are probably the only good ones out of them all.

Mr. Bixby and Calling Cat-22 are too overplayed. And they have terrible plots and bland, boring animation.

The Breman Avenue Experience.... It's meh. I haven't seen it enough to give a good(Or bad) opinion on it.

I think the idea of the Wedgies is great; it's just the individual shorts themselves which leave something to be desired.

I see where you're coming from and I agree with that observation. Mr. Bixby himself isn't annoying me. There are times where he can be funny in the other shorts, not the career counselor one. It's just the repeat of Mr. Bixby as a career counselor that's getting old on me.

Breman Avenue experience was my favorite wedgie out of them all

I like The Mr. Bixby career counselor one, that one's actually rather funny. I mean come on, how can you hate a cartoon that considers a giant robot as a career choice?

Master Toon

Big Baby is the only one I'm getting tired of because it seems to come on everytime I watch Cartoon Network. I always catch the other ones as they're ending. I don't think these will become series, call it a hunch or call it experience but the quality of these shorts seem to suggest they're just for fun.

I haven't watched CN in what seems like ages...so these "Wedgies" are little shorts?

QFT.

Every time I seem to watch CN I always seem to encounter "Calling Cat-22." Mr. Bixby is okay, I rarely encounter Giant Baby, Nacho Bear is enjoyable. Those are the ones that come to mind. I just like it better when it was CN Video exclusive, since I wouldn't encounter it since I rarely use CN video.

The only Wedgies I've seen are Mr. Bixby and Nacho Bear.

The Mr. Bixby toons are okay and pretty funny, IMO.

One of the reasons I really like Nacho Bear is because of its theme song. For some strange reason, that theme song just reminds me of modern-day Los Angeles (mostly in the evenings)...

Are the people who make Big Baby the same ones that make Assy McGee? They're both ugly, unfunny and disturbing, and they both have those fake commercials in them.

I like Mr. Bixby, but I've only seen him once so that might change soon. I haven't seen Nacho Bear in a while, but it's alright. Just saw Big Baby today, and thought it was stupid. Seen "Calling Cat-22" many times, and think each one is stupid, my least favorite wedgie by far. Haven't seen Breman Avenue Experience yet.

I was thinking a similar thing. It screams very "Adult Swim show quality-ish".

someone should make a POLL so we can vote on our favorite (or most tolerable) Wedgie. I'm curious to see how it'll end up.

I'd vote for Nacho Bear. The concept is stupid, bears and nachos don't have anything to do with each other. But the animation is the best of the Wedgies and it's kinda funny.

Saw Calling Cat-22 during Chowder the other night (had it DVRed) and thought was pretty groovy. Though the Mr. Bixby and Nacho Bear aren't my cup of tea.
