And I remember a time when people kept saying they couldn't stand the Eds, Fosters and Billy and Mandy. I guess in a few year people will be saying that they miss Chowder, Flapjack and Johnny Test.
Oh, irony.

Oh, irony.
It would be ironic if I thought these shows were overplayed in the first place, which I didn't.
It's really sad they can't find one half hour spot for each show (even once a week) somewhere on that mess of a schedule, even if it is summertime.

eh, So many god darn Johnny Test slots! Is it doing that great in ratings that the network must air the show's reruns like 5-7 times every day? It's not even a CN original.
Out of the goodness of my heart, I'm going to count how many JT reruns are airing each day, next week:
Monday: 7 slots = 3:30 hours
Tuesday: 5 slots = 2:30 hours
Wednesday: 6 slots = 3:00 hours
Thursday: 6 slots = 3:00 hours
Friday: 1 slot = 0:30 minutes (WOOT)
Saturday: no slot = 0:00 (WOOT)
Sunday: 11 slots = 5:30 (WTF?! Johnny Test Marathon?! This isn't the USA Network >:O)
Overall Johnny Test will be airing for a total of 18 HOURS this week! Chowder--CN's most prized original animation--is only receiving 11:00 hours, TDI--a network powerhouse--is only receiving 9:30 hours, Ben 10--CN's signature action powerhouse--is receiving only 10:30 hours (including movie and AF series) and Flapjack--currently CN's only original series that is airing new episodes--is only receiving 6:30 hours this week.
Why all of the Johnny test love? For next week's schedule, I hope CN sheds at least 10 hours off of JT's air time for more desired animations that currently have no existence on the schedule like; Grim Adventures, My Gym Partner is a Monkey (I'm surprised to see no encore to tommorrow's special, in this week's schedule), Foster's Home, Teen Titans, KND, etc.,etc.,

eh, So many god damn Johnny Test slots!
First off, watch the language.
Secondly, I doubt any of this is going to change until the Summer is over. Still...CN doesn't need to be showing the same show over and over and over again for 18 hours a week. If I actually still watched the channel I know I'd be more annoyed than I already am.

I stopped complaining about Test, Skunk, and George's reign since I realized where not getting a more variety-filled schedule until September most likely. Batman & Mr. Freeze is another nice surprise, I'm feeling the DCAU love. Hopefully tonight's Batman Beyond movie and this movie next week get good ratings; we might end up seeing more of these movies, or heck, maybe even one of the series if we get lucky.
Hoodwinked???
Animated: 2
Live Action: 5
Finally an animated movie. Hoodwinked isn't the best movie, but heck, if it's animated, I'm happy.

Hoodwinked is an ok movie, and will do its roll nicely. But 18 hours of Johhny Test!? WHAT!?
Not even an hour of any shows that people WANT to watch. No Storm Hawks, Ed Edd n Eddy, Billy and Mandy, Gym Partner, or Fosters. What the heck is going on here?! It's like somebody vomited Johnny Test all over the schedule!

I'm tired of the endless reruns of Chowder, George of the Jungle, Ben 10: Alien Force, Skunk Fu and especially Johnny Test also, but there's really no point in complaining about Cartoon Network's current schedule. CN is just going to keep rotating the same 5 shows all day every day until the fall, it's what they do.
Although I have no idea why the blue blazes CN insists on running Johnny Test so much. Test is on OK show, but the way CN is overplaying it, you'd think that it was the greatest thing to happen to TV since color. And I thought that CN ran Static Shock into the ground back in 2004.

Well, I'll be happy to see the Pokemon Movie on Tuesday, as well as Cats Don't Dance on Monday. I'm also looking foreword to watch SubZero next Saturday, just like I am with today's showing of Return of the Joker. I honestly don't see the need to complain this much over the schedule. Sure, they're playing a lot of repeats of their different shows, but that's because its summer. Besides that, if you don't like the schedule, then you could just do something else instead.

They used to have What's New Scooby Doo? on once or twice a day. There are just so many things wrong with this schedule...They are airing Johnny Test four more than 8 hours, and can't even fit in a half hour of

Yes but Pokemon doesn't air as much as Test, which means it's probably not as popular as Test. Test is probably the most aired show right now, and when it has new episodes, they're not advertised. At least that wrestler guy from DAS says "New Pokemon Diamond and Pearl!" during the DAS promos, but there's no promotion for new Tests.
peterg14
07-27-2008, 02:15 PM
They've actually just been promoting Pokemon recently, like the past 2 weeks they've mentioned them for DAS.
I'm guessing with shows that have high ratings, they don't need to advertise them. I mean Chowder, Flapjack, and TDI get promos, yet Johnny Test gets none and its the ratings winner.

Johnny Test may be new to CN, but they are all still reruns. On the other hand, Poke'Mon DP Battle Dimension, Ben 10: Alien Force, Flapjack, TDI, etc. are actually new episodes, as in never before shown in the US. It only makes sense to promote a new series to try and draw additional viewers than to promote a rerun which isn't much higher than it was when it was on CW/ Kids' WB!

Looks like CN's decided to have a movie kick off Toonami each week. Now if they'd only bring back the "In-Flight Movies" moniker they'd be set . . . not like it would be impossible even with the grounded current setup either, we could have TOM flying somewhere to activate the movies . . .

No. The Johnny Test and Friends Network, featuring Skunk, George, Chowder, Flapjack, and Total Drama Island and others that hasn't even passed 39 episodes!
Remember when CN aired mostly Camp Lazlo to death last year? Same thing with Johnny Test. It has 39 episodes! You can't rerun the same ol same ol all the time. Only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. That's it.
And once again, the schedule sucks. Hard as usual.

Really?? I don't think so. I've heard advertisements for Hoodwinked all week during credits of shows. Hoodwinked isn't the best movie, but at least I've heard of it. I've never heard of Garfield Gets Real until I just looked it up on Wikipedia. Oh well, it's still animated, so there's less reason to complain.

Maybe it's the first step in promoting the new CGI Garfield series coming in 2009.

I've never been a garfeild fan I'll admit. But are these CGI/2D remakes of old cartoons necessary?

in the world where 2-D is almost dead: Yeah.
BUT it doesn't mean that 2-D is down for the count. It's just that companies have been putting more money on CGI than 2-D stuff these days at least some of them that is.

Huh, that's odd. I thought CN had officially packed things up with 4Kids. I guess now there are higher chances that other 4Kids properties will show up on the network. But kinda weird they're giving GX a second chance, when shows like One Piece and Blue Dragon don't have homes anywhere on TV (GX is still on broadcast, after all).
The episodes will start mid-season three, at the place where CN cut off the series before.

2D isn't almost dead. 2D Feature-length FILMS are almost dead; but most TV Cartoons are still 2D, and any chance of CGI weathering away 2D Cartoons will take a while.

Well, that was random. Maybe they'll show it on DAS. I just hope it doesn't become a part of the marathon-craze going on right now. I've never liked GX in the first place; having it on 18 hrs a week (cough cough Johnny Test cough cough) would be dreadful.

Well, that was random and surprising all at once. Like D Dubbs, I thought that CN wouldn't air GX again since CN hasn't aired an episode of the series for nearly a year. After seeing how CW4Kids is getting close to finishing the current third season, not to mention the legnth of time since it last aired on this channel, I figured that they wouldn't touch GX. Still, I'll probably try to watch the episodes. It will be awhile before they come out on DVD anyway, but at least they're just repeats and only new to CN.
