The seventh episode of Total Drama Island airs on Har Har Tharsdays today. Looks like this episode is TV-PG. Here's the synopsis:
Each camper is forced to face their worst fear.

This one is pretty funny, so far. I like how it focuses on all their fears, it gives the animators a chance to showcase some crazy facial expressions. This is probably one of the few Flash cartoons that I give kudos to the art department.

This episode wasn't as cool as I thought it would be. Fear Factor worked because it's live action and everything they face is real. In a cartoon, it just doesn't have the same effect.
Too bad about Tyler, though. I thought he was cool. A jock with poor athletic skills is a nice twist.

Great episode. I don't really mind Tyler being gone, he wasn't one of the best characters. I love how Lindsey has already forgotten about him. I'm still wondering how the alliance think with Heather, Beth, & Lindsey will work out.

This is a very funny series. I would practically laugh nearly to the point of tears as the cast faces their fears.
TONIGHTS EPISODE WAS REAL FUNNY and I liked how we saw more development in the campers based on their fears
I can see why Tyler left seeing he just had to walk right passed chickens and I'm looking forward to see if the killer bass actually get more wins because the gophers are dominating them

Pretty amusing parody of "Fear Factor"... the fears they all faced ranged from common ones (I don't like bugs either---though as the above poster said, worms aren't bugs or IMO particularly creepy) to the ludicrous (Celine Deon cardboard cutouts?! Green jello?!). :-)
Comments:
- Another old cartoon gag appears, the "single raincloud that hovers over one particular character perpetually" bit (think I saw it in a Road Runner cartoon once).
- Goth Girl (yeah, I should remember the names better) threw her communicator at her "rescuer" after he finally dug her out (way belatedly)... not a good sign for their future...
ADDITION: - The fact Chris came up with this "Fear Factor" thingy the day *after* they all mentioned what their fears were might suggest this show's making up the challenges as they go along... ;-)
Canadianisms:
- Another reference to the tuck shop (see last week's camping episode thread. I still think it was funny seeing Owen and company chowing down on Pringles while sitting in a hot tub :-p ).
- Celine Deon is, of course, one of Canada's most famous contemporary singers, having (among other hits) her big hit song from the late 90s movie "Titanic". She's also referenced in the "South Park" movie. She hails specifically from Quebec (according to the Montreal travel guide I bought for my trip there in about a week)...
Next week: Uh, no idea---the DVD recorder shut off at the end shot of the chicken-filled boat leaving the dock...

This episode was hilarious!!!
-The scene with Duncan and the Celine Dion cutout was just too funny. I almost laughed to the point of tears when he hugged it!
-I also cracked up when everyone shook their heads at Courtney, yelling at DJ to face his fears and hold the snake!
-Wow, Tyler got kicked off and Lindsay quickly forgot about him. Didn't see that coming.
-I'm looking forward to seeing how the alliance will turn out.
-Seriously, who can be scared of Green Jello? It's only, well, Green Jello!

As Tyler was taking that "walk of shame" to the boat he was taunted by the other contestants with a barrage of chicken puns. Here are some of my own...
-Face it, Tyler couldn't just "fit the bill"!
-When he gets back home, this parents are going to be in a "fowl" mood!
-Also when he gets back home, he better hope none of his friends give him "the bird"!
-He just went "down" in history!
-Finally when he returns home, I guess he'll be eating some crow!

Uh-oh, Sadie seems to have found a new BFFFL... LINDSEY! (within two episodes, they'll probably be wearing the same outfit :p)
Shame to see Tyler go. He wasn't that good of a character but at least he made a cute couple with Lindsey. With that said, I'm sooooooooooooooooo thankful Courtney got to stay. She's becoming one of my favorite competitors right now. I was incrediably scared when she lost the game for the group. I bet Duncan didn't try to vote her off. -_^

Sorry if I'm a bit late. Here are my thoughts on this ep:
1. Poor Sadie, still upset over seeing her BFF go bye-bye.:(
2. It was interesting seeing all the campers face their different fears:
a. Beth sure had no trouble being buried in bugs.:p
b. Owen & Izzy battling their fear of flying was ultimate torture!:ack: I'm glad they both survived!
c. Aw, I felt very sorry for Leshawna's fear of spiders.:(
d. I felt it was a cheap victory for Heather when that sumo wrestler she was afriad of tripped over her.
e. It was great seeing DJ conquer his fear of snakes.:) Same goes for Duncan hugging that cardboard cut-out of Celine Dion and Trent outsmarting that mime!:D
f. I'm so relieved Gwen didn't suffocate to death from buried alive!   I doubt she'll forgive Trent for leaving her down there so long!:(
g. I felt so sorry for Bridgette when she couldn't conquer her fear of being alone in the woods and that squirrel scaring her!:crying: :crying: :crying:
h. I felt kinda sad for Courtney when she chickened out of diving into a tank of green jelly. I wanted to cry too after watching her interview afterwards.:crying: :crying: :crying:
3. I thought the elimination ceremony was very nail-biting!!! Although it was a pity to see Tyler go, I'm sooooo relieved my favorite girl, Bridgette, is still in the game! Oh, the same goes for Courtney.
Next week, the canoe race looks very brutal!!!

Even a week later I still find Cody's segment hilarious. Just for the sheer randomness of it. Diffusing a time bomb under pressure? That's something normal people wouldn't even think about, let alond fear.
Harold also deserves a mention. He faced the fear pretty well till the nunchuck slipped. Owen's random mullet dance (what the heck?) was pretty funny. And as glad as I am that it wasn't her, Courtney soooooo deserved to be voted off after that....
