Does anyone remember the quickies segments when The Pink Panther was on NBC? I think it was Richard Deacon (The Dick Van Dyke Show) that was the narrator. Wish they had those on YouTube.

I believe Marvin Miller was the narrator.

Aside from You Tube, I wish these would be released on DVD. All of this material could have been used as great extras on the Pink Panther Cartoon Collection DVD. I remember this stuff fondly. Some used clips from various cartoons, some was specifically produced for the TV shows. When a reassembled half-hour version of The Pink Panther Show was syndicated in the early 1980s, all that stuff was in there (though most of the various different show openings and closings were not included -- oddly enough, the disco dancing one from the last ABC shows did appear on many of the half-hours). Even some mid-1970s NBC bumpers appeared.

That's something I don't understand...how come this material can appear on iTunes, but not on the official DVD releases?

It would even be cool if they'd toss them in as extras on future single-DVD releases. There are more Inspector cartoons to be released, as well as other DePatie-Freleng characters. (I wonder why they didn't just do two Pink Panther collections, and include all of that stuff -- Inspector, Ant/Aardvark, Crazylegs Crane, Misterjaw, Tijuana Toads, etc. as well as the TV show interstitials.)
