I still love Scooby.

I'm 22 now, but I love the feeling I get watching episodes, I'd love to own all the episodes on dvd just for the heck of it. In fact, I might go download some later to my computer..

Does anyone else love those old episodes, like the Mummy one, the one at tha carnival with that robot kinda man with the glowing eyes, the old bayous and mansions... There's so many I loved/love and dig how it was drawn.

I hear ya :D The newer shows just don't do it for me, but any episode with the original background music and the spooky animation is fantastic. I'll always watch them no matter my age!

Same here and I'm 32 lol! The original background music, the more realistic character designs, and hand-painted spooky surroundings do it for me; can't get enough of that! The new shows and movies just don't have that feeling...

Also, I prefer the original, more serious, tones of characters Fred, Daphne, and Velma...who, in more recent years, became like parodies of themselves.

When they revived the franchise with the "What's New" era, I guess they had to find ways to keep it fresh...however, even if the formula's the same, they lost its original appeal/feeling which made it a classic.

I love the original Scooby - there's something about the color scheme, music, and surroundings that make it seem creepy no matter what. Some episodes I can't watch at night or when I'm alone for that reason :p Like the space alien episode.

The new Scooby stuff will never match up :)

There is something just magical about the old show. The animation is my fave, eerie and creepy but still fun. I do enjoy 'What's New', I like the parody version, actual I prefer the new Fred, hge's one of my fave characters but there is something about the old ones which makes me repeatedly watch them and never get bored. And they were made waaay before my time so that's saying something about it's longerity (sp?)

That's awesome! :D He is the scariest villilan of the show. My friend and I still talk about that episode, and we're pushing forty!
