I don't believe I ever heard the original Velma, Nicole Jaffe, say her trademark word "Jinkies!" on the original Scooby Doo Where Are You. So, unless she said it on The New Scooby Doo Movies, it was Velma's second voice, Pat Stevens, who had the honor of introducing it. Can anyone confirm which show "Jinkies" was first heard on?

Thanks :)

I don't think it was introduced until "A Pup Named Scooby Doo" back in 1988-89. It was later retconed on to her teen/adult version in the mid 1990's.

I have a VHS of Scooby Goes Hollywood, and it has Velma (Pat Stevens) saying "Jinkies!"

On a side note, I believe there was one episode of the New Scooby-Doo Movies where Shaggy said "Jinkies!".

I don't believe I can't put my finger on an example of Jaffe saying "jinkies".
Really haven't been watching the original Scooby much lately. Did catch it on CN recently, but I no longer have BOOM, where it usually airs.

But of course she is the one who started saying it! When Shaggy said it in Dynamic Scooby Doo Affair, it was obviously a point of him taking her line. (Like when everyone else says "Zoinks" in Tiki Scare).
I think when she loses her glasses she usually says it. So there's one place to start. She probably says it right in the first episode. It is one of the dfinitive hallmarks of the character.

Jinkies? Jinkies.... isn't that some sort of breakfast cereal?
