Aravawen:

If anyone is interested, I've got some Code Geass info:

Pronunciations: Geass (GEE-ahss), and Lelouch (lu-LOOSH); right now it’s unclear exactly what they’re going to do with certain other character names and terminology.

Code Geass was a huge hit in Japan, and won a boatload of awards. It’s on its second season over there right now. IMHO, it’s possibly the best anime I’ve ever seen. It gets a lot of hype, but earns every bit of it. It’s been criticized for trying to be everything to everyone, but that trait might be the secret of its quality. Start thinking of anime genres, and you’ll probably come up with sci-fi, action, drama, comedy, romance, angst, and war; think of stereotypes, and you’ll come up with mecha, magic/psychic power, cute/pretty girls and boys, fan service, theatrics, adventures in high school, teenage romance, complex storyline, awesome weapons, huge battles, and general epicness. Most anime will have two or three of the above genres, and two or three of the above stereotypes, but Code Geass has them all, excels at them all, and switches genres without blinking. This, plus the terrific characters and deep story, is its true power. In short, it’s the perfect example of everything anime is supposed to be.

If you usually don’t like mecha anime, DO NOT let that keep you from this show! The use of mecha in Code Geass serves the story, not the other way around. The mecha are used as war weapons (like tanks), nothing more.

This show has a ton of characters. It’s important to remember who they all are and what side each of them is on. If you can keep track of everyone, the emotional payoff will be exquisite.

There is also some so-called fan service (shower scenes, etc.) and some moderate nudity (assuming AS leaves it unedited). However, when there is nudity, half of the time it’s for fan service, but the other half of the time it’s meant to denote vulnerability or helplessness.
