First animated Batman I ever saw were re-runs of the first Filmation run. This may have been around '72. That's when Saturday mornings were really cool with that and the other DC heroes and the HB superheroes as well, all in re-runs. I did always wonder at the time why Batman wasn't in the JLA eps (and also why Aquaman was in the JLA opening and not in the eps) but then they changed it to all Batman and none of the others anymore and after a few weeks, wondered why they wouldn't show any of the other heroes.

Batman was left out of the JLA toons because Fox still owned the TV rights to him at the time. Same reason why Robin wasn't with the Teen Titans.
As for moi, my first Bat-toon memories are dim & distant as it relates to the 1968 series. I did see the reruns in syndication in the mid-70's after getting cable. "Mr. Solo", understand that when they syndicated the DC trilogy in the 70's, they ran Superman first, then Aquaman, then Batman, on weekdays. Common sense logic would've been to checkerboard and have each run weekly, with other Filmation series of the period (i.e. Fantastic Voyage) completing the 5-day lineup. No one thought of that, though.

To me the first time I ever saw Batman was actually on Tarzan and the Super 7, followed by the Superfriends, and the Batman cartoons on Bozo.

The 60s Batman cartoons can now be found on iTunes and amazon.com's unbox. No word on when it'll be on DVD. I use to watch it on Bozo on Mondays and Thursdays.
