Another episode of everyone's favorite Japanese kid airs tomorrow at midnight. Hopefully the ratings will increase over time for the show.

"The Drinky Hiro Show" - I had heard that this one was sort of lame, and I have to agree with that. It started off well with Drunken Hiro trying to interrupt Mitzy's dream of being Princess Diana dating her own son and then Shin waking up and attacking Hiro and saying he'd like to say he loved him (LOL line really) but once it just became about Hiro making gross foods and Shin dislking them the show kind of fell through since really there's only so many gross food jokes you can do in a row and this one kind of overdid them. Not to mention Hiro's funnier when he has to deal more with the craziness and feel the depressing need to drink (as seen in the next segment) then just drunkily goofing around like he did here.

"Trading Faces" - Since this was made long before Lindsay Lohan and about 20 other shows did the whole body swap idea (Shin and Mitzy are wrong: Body swaps are done in pretty much everything, not just books and movies) I guess you can't consider this plot too cliched when it first came out. Espically considering it's an anime and besides a couple of exceptions cartoons do a lot more body swap stories. Still though this was pretty good, mainly for Shin and Mitzy's reactions to the whole thing and trying to figure out how to work they're different parts. Other good moments included Shin/Mitzy's ass dance, Mitzy/Shin ordering Shin/Mitzy to breastfeed Hima, Mitzy/Shin's lame attempts to punish Shin/Mitzy, Shin/Mitzy playing with the action bastards and Hiro saying it wasn't the kind of roleplaying he wanted, the questions Hiro asked to see if they really switched, Mitzy/Shin taking Hima to school and freaking out the teacher by being on time with his pants on, Shin/Mitzy trying to hit on "hottie naniko" and the ending of Mitzy chasing Shin around for making her gain 11 pounds. Some fairly funny stuff and defintley the stronger of the two shorts but more actually could of been done with this plot without as many just regular body jokes.

Overall not the best ep but still decent at least.

I liked the body swap episode cause this time you got Laura Bailey acting like Mitzi and Cynthia Cranz acting like Shin. Unlike most scenario in which the Voice of the character somehow is in the body of other one. I liked Hima's reaction to Shin changing her diaper. Both Shin and Mitzi having problems with their bodies, and mucking up their lives in part 2.

I did not care for Hiro story though. Drunken Hiro eats anything whilst drunk, and forcing his son to watch. it was good for moment, though I did like the end.

"Princess Di is on a date with her son?"

"It's a very ballsy taste that is to say it tastes like balls."

Giving him another beer when he needs it the least.....

"Will I have to get drunk to like this?" yeah I'm guessing so.

"Several hours of puking and defecating later."

"This only happens in books or bad movies."

Figures, she can't work it.

It's not the same when Shin does it while in Mitzi's body.

"If she bites me I'm dropping her."

"STOP TRYING TO DRINK IT!"

"I didn't drink enough on the way home."
"I'm going to need a lot of beer."
Damn, Hiro's getting a lot of good lines tonight.

"I said call me daddy, but only when it's fun time."

"Everything's back to normal which means I'm still gonna need a lot of beer."

Hiro pulls another all-nighter.

"Princess Di is on a date with her own son?"

Shin's on kitchen duty.

He won't be throwing up from the booze in a minute.

Sweet 'n' sour cake?

Everyone knows the healthier the food, the worse the taste.

"That smear better be chocolate mashed potatoes!!"

Where's Jodie Foster or Lindsay Lohan when you need them?

"Why couldn't I trade bodies with hottie Nanako so I could take a 47-day shower?"

Mitzi-Shin's ass dance =.

Mitzi-Shin's breast feeding -.

I like how they traded bodies but kept the voices.

Shin-Mitzi's actually helpful around the house.

Now I see where Shin gets it from. :P

What is this, Bizarro Shin-Chan?

Mitzi-Shin on a trike.

And the moral of the story? Any problem caused by funnel cakes can be solved by funnel cakes.

I can tell they were having way too much fun in the voice booth during the Trading Faces recording.

This is actually the frst cartoon were Ive actually seen that done. Like its been said before, in cartoons when characters switch bodies their voice somehow travels along with their soul/mind. Some say its to make it easier for the audience to understand... ...but I think its great that not only did they not dumb it down like that for us, but did so well with the acting that they didnt need to. My favorite was when Shin (in Mitzy's body) says "uh-huh uh-huh" Just such a great example that each VA can imitate the other so well, act out as a different character, while still keeping the voice of the other.

But it kinda annoyed me that neither thought about running into each other again.. ...its like it HAS to be an accident.

"Oooo, that's a lot more ass to shake than usual".

Maybe that's because when Shin-as-Mitzi did the ass dance, he-as-she didn't pull his/her pants down. I wonder if Japanese TV censors wouldn't allow that.

Pity. I like Mitzi's big butt. :D

Youre probably right... ...just like how its ok to see nude babies. The only way to sell diapers and tires is to be topless :D

I want to know at what age do you start getting in trouble? You know, how mothers love to take pictures of their naked babies... ...but if their baby is 5, its wrong... what age is it?

The Hiro episode was kind of weak but Trading Faces was hysterical. Laura Bailey acting like Mitzi and Cynthia Cranz acting like Shin was priceless. One of my favorite episodes yet, no doubt about it.

This episode of Shin Chan was great. The drunk Hiro thing was hilarious for the few minutes that it was. "Do you have to be drunk to like this stuff" Shin and Mitzi switching bodies was the real highlight of the episode though.
