This is the talkback thread for Scott Bradley Music Comes to CD (http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=23243).

The MGM concertmaster once said of Bradley that he wrote "the hardest [expletive deleted] fiddle music in Hollywood." MGM cartoons wouldn't have had half their energy without his contribution.

They should do the 40's and early 50's Tom & Jerry's. Those were the best, and since there was almost no dialogue, they were more uninterrupted free flowing tunes.

(then, the producers of the modern Tom & Jerry series score could take some pointers!)

If you go to Amazon.com, you can hear samples of some of Bradley's music from the Tex Avery cartoons, along with some of the dialogue from the films.

I might score an mp3 or two with some of the Pepsi Points I've amassed...

OK, thanks!
Though this one is only the 50's, because, as it explains, of the sound quality. The best stuff is before that.
