After last week's Star Wars-themed episode, this one goes back to the normal lives of the Noharas. Tune in tonight at 12:00 am Eastern to watch.

I saw one of the episodes that peremere tonight already, the one with Tooru secretly being a fan of a show for girls, and it is funny. I can't wait to see it in English.

Here are my thoughts on it, commenting on the three sections that make up 28.
"Kingdergarden Pop" - Probably the best of the three segments acutally. I liked the idea of Hiro going to parent's day to hang out with all the hot mom's and having to hear Shin's speech about him and participate in the weird parents dance song (yeah even if the lyrics were dirtified for the AS version just the dances of the kids and parents were wrong on so many levels). Other good jokes include Hiro's excuse for getting off of work, meeting Ench and the secuirty guard outside the door, trying to justify his accent when Shin calls him out on it and Shin wondering what ejaculation meant at the end.
"The Secret Life Of Georgie" - I guess after all the superhero action bastard parodies we were due for a Sailor Moonish parody. Weird Georgie would be a fan of it but like he said every politican needs a deep dirty secret. That was probably the best part of this one: his politican lines (the list of sickos with secrets, the impeach hilary plan and then talking about cheesing it at the end. Never thought Shin Chan would in a way make a joke nearly as fast as South Park made it about cheesing stuff). Most of Shin's stuff was more weird then funny and predicitably bad ending of Georgie getting shafted his chance of getting the box tops. Oh well maybe next time he'll try getting someone more dependable to trade with without the somewhat humorous results or something.
"Action Bastard Says Give Yourself The Shaft" - This probably would of been a lot better shortened since essintantly the joke of Shin using Hiro's massanger on his manhood and making the food spill over could of been done in half the time. I also noticed this seems to be one of the eariler segments with the more streamlined version of Shin. Anyway there were some decent moments in this one: Mainly lollipop talking about exiprementing with the device and Hiro calling Shin an evil child and the whole 4th wall breaking ending.
Overall not one of the best episodes but made for some pretty good laughs though the last segment kind of brought this one down some.

JAZZ HANDS!
i thought the last one was funny, albeit a bit over the top. "you'll love it whether you're a single woman, a family, or a single woman!"

Hot moms always make a man get up and go!
"Did they find your hidden cameras of the ladies room dumping?"
"JAZZ HANDS!"
I don't know what's more wrong (and funny) the dance or the song.
What's wrong with us indeed, Georgie.
Oh god, he's even got the dolls.
So being gay = being a TV star now?
"Time for naked C.P.R."
Riding the shaft. Bet that feels good.
Did they just censor a drone's line?
"Or as I call it, Mr. Shivers."
Now THAT'S how you power up a laser. Forget charging and flexing your muscles DBZ-style, vibrating your crotch is the way to go!

Don't you mean Kindergarten Poop?
The way to Hiro's heart is through his libido. "Hotmomshotmomshotmomshotmoms..."
"You look like a guy who saw my wife beat me!"
Cute essay.
Jazz hands.
Pop songs today with their suggestive lyrics.
I've always believed kids need more programming with positive role models.
I bet this is why some boys watch shows like Winx Club and Kim Possible.
Georgie's in love with the cartoon Penny hated in Happiness Bunny's Revenge last season?
"If you make a mess, don't you have to clean it up?"
"No, you leave it for the next administration."
I thought he was a closet fan of Action Bastard.
Speak of the devil...
I gotta get me one of those things.
Some "Great O". Where's the butler and the android girl?
Is that a Bastard Shaft in your arsenal or are you just happy to see her?
Hey, one of the original Japanese bumps!

LOL, oh god.
"What's ejacsulate? Is that some kind of women's face cream?"
"Yeah. Let's go with that."
Haha. Kindergarten Pop was awesome.
Oh awesome, an original bump. :o
That was great though. Two thumbs up for sure.

Yes they closed the show with one of the original bumpers. It was always one of my favorites, in the original Shin would always "Bye Bye", for some reason I thought it was funny.
On to the episodes, "Kindergarden Pop" was a very upbeat episode of Shin Chan. It was a very sweet episode, though I feel for poor Boo, his parents have never appeared in the long history of Shin Chan. I wonder if anyone seen the original episode and what song was used in the original. This is one of the first times FUNimation changed the music in the episodes. Of course Hiroshi's motivation of being around hot mom's was typical male Nohara. Shin gets it from his dad, and of course Shin's grandfather tops them all with his lust for women. Though besides the moms, Shin's teacher is also not to shabby. I also thought Miss Yoshinaga was hot.
"The Secret Life Of Georgie" was very funny, though the original version is better. The original lyrics to the theme song of the show Tooru liked was "Mo O Pe". In the original episode, it showed a much more softer side to Tooru. It was still good.
"Action Bastard Says Give Yourself The Shaft" was the most obsene which is why it aired last. The consdent massanger jokes, this is clearly not for the kids. The joke about Mimiko experimenty with the device that was funny as well. Speaking of Mimiko, anyone notice that in the camera shot during the fighting, you could look up her dress. I know Shin loves Action Kamen, so he didn't notice, but if it was any other tv show, he would have noticed and enjoyed it being the young loveable pervert that Shin is.

This episode scores high just for Georgie saying the phrase, "do you wanna get waterboarded, *****?"
Found it much funnier than the Shin Wars episode, which just felt like it was trying too hard.
"Kindergarten Pop" was my favorite but the other two were good too.

Secret Life of Georgie was my favorite. I like the political humor. My husband wondered why SC is so political now, and I had to explain to him that its just Georgies character. Thats who he is.
Did they just censor a drone's line?
I noticed that too, and thought that was odd... ...I couldnt even hear what they were saying anyway if they even were saying something. I probably wouldnt even notice an F bomb if it werent for the censoring. Way to make something more obvious AS, thank you.

Well obviously not since its rated MA and airs at midnight. Any psychotic parent who complains that their child watched that episode should ask themselves why they were up that late, and why the V chip wasnt set? As for online viewing... ...well, if theyre upset about them visiting sites like that, they should be more concerned with what OTHER sites they may be visiting.

I'm gonna agree - better than last week's Star Wars parody, a rapid fire barrage of jokes in which less than half stuck.
"Kindergarten Pop" - The synchronized dance routine was unexpectedly hilarious. But it does ring somewhat true... kids these days, dancing to promiscuous songs that have a great beat/hook/dance attached, but contain lyrics that are inappropriate for their age.
"The Secret Life of Georgie" - Funny, I would think 'Money Makes Life Happy' would be something up Ai's alley. Ah, the embarrassment of loving a show for girls and you're a boy and trying to hide that from all your friends. Especially Shin, who you just know is gonna blab all over and rub it in your face.
Favorite Quote: "What if you really are hooked on this show and I'm helping you destroy yourself?"
"Action Bastard Says, 'Give Yourself the Shaft!'" - Kind one-note-ish, but still funny. What can you say? Lollipop enjoying it, the way it's used on Action Bastard, Shin confused as if to use it that way or THAT way...
Episode 28 - 3.5/5.

I question I have asked many times, and no one has ever tried to answer. How old is Mimiko or as she is known on this show Lollipop?
At times she looks like a teenager, other times she looks like a preteen. In the "The End Of A Dream Is Always An Eye-Opener" theme song opening, she looks not that much taller than Shin. Though there is enough hight difference that one time she helped Shin use a urinal in an episode of the original series, but it is inconsident to me, sometimes she is as tall as the adults, other times she is just little bit taller than Shin.

Well, she probably would be a fan of the show (if shes not already). She just has such a busy schedule, and can barely escape her extra curricular activities to harass Shins family. Maybe she watches it while riding in her limo.
Penny's a fan of course. Shes made several references to it... ...although she sometimes acts like she hates it due to personal reasons. (even though she can still be seen watching it.) In episode 24 in her kanji, she basically explains how she wants to live her life "like those TV b!tches." And in fact, theres a scene where she pops out and "MONEY" is floating around in the background... ...it was really suppose to say "Money Makes Life Happy!" but it just didnt look right since it took up so much room.

I assume that was the original, more innocent context of this ep: He's embarrassed just because he's a boy and this is a "girl's show". In the Adult Swim context, though, I assumed that he was a fan because he really..."likes" the two girls who star in that show. That would explain why he'd especially like to have a cardboard standup of one of the characters: I waited the whole cartoon to hear Georgie mention how that standup is going to wind up all sticky soon after he gets it. ;)

Thats probably why they made it water proof... ...they know exactly what kind of toy it is. :D
