View Full Version : (Possible) interesting tidbit about Boondocks season 3 (comic fans enter)
I happened to run across the myspace page of Kali Troy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kali_Troy), who has done some miscellaneous voices on the Boondocks show.
Here's her page (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=68016460).
And there was an interesting tidbit on the page that I'll quote:
She was one of the lead characters (Taranee) for the animated series, W.I.T.C.H., as well as AMERICAN DRAGON (Trixie), both on the Disney Channel, and in addition to playing various characters in season 2, she has been cast as (Caesar) for the BOONDOCKS season 3 and the upcoming animated motion picture.
Obviously it's not an official announcement (and I don't even think season 3 is confirmed yet) but it IS the myspace page of an actual Boondocks VA.
It's up to you if you want to believe it or not, but I thought it was worth posting.

I believe because in addition Sony is hiring artists for it.

I hope it true too. But is BD that popular it`s getting a movie?

Wow a movie, sounds interesting. I'll see if it's true or not
but didn't they announce that Ceasar was coming in season 3 a while ago?
Movie?
I wonder if McGruder will move onto Carl Central as well now, especially after the BET scandal. I always knew Boondocks did well, but a movie is out of the blue to be frank.

I don't know if Boondocks needs a movie (if there's truly going to be one), but if Caesar's been confirmed for season 3, that's news in and of itself.
Now if we can just get more Huey-centered stories, less Riley episodes, and more Cindy, Jazmine and Sarah (maybe Sarah can get dialogue in more than 2 episodes this time around!), then season 3 should shape up to be pretty good.

I was just thinking about a Boondocks movie on my way to work today, for some reason. I was wondering if it would be R or PG-13, since the show can flucuate between the two at any time.

A movie would be great, just so long as it has the moral aspects of season 1 and doesn't go overboard with the zaniness like season 2 did.
Though, the funny thing about this is that, a few weeks ago after seeing the ATHF movie, I was thinking about what other AS series could be made into an entertaining movie, and Boondocks was one of the only two that popped into my mind (the other being Venture Brothers).

I actually feel the opposite way.
IMO in Season 1 the show took itself way too seriously and got kind of preachy.
If there's a movie I'd prefer that it be funny like season 2, but with more Huey and less Riley.

My problem with season 2 of The Boondocks wasn't with the zany; I have a profound respect for zaniness. My biggest complaint about Boondocks season 2 was that it was almost all Riley, Granddad, Tom and Ruckus (the latter 2 were especially overdone this past season). There are other characters on the show that can be focused on besides just those 4.

Yeah, that was my other problem with season 2 (granted, I loved season 2 more than season 1, but still).
And by season 1 aspects, I should've said not to go overboard on the preachy aspects either. Just a fair balance between the two (alright, leaning more on the zany side) would be nice.

What, so they can draw more designs that look like McGruder's designs run through the Deviantart filter?
Fantastic.

What, so they can draw more designs that look like they were done by some 17 year old Japan-obsessed Deviantartist?
Fantastic.
Oh comon. That's a bit too far. The Boondocks designs at least have good construction and acting, in season 2 anyway. Just because McGruder likes anime and wants his show to imitate the style doesn't equate it to DeviantArt. By the way, those same artists are working on The Spectacular Spider-Man now.

I believe rumours of a movie first surfaced around when Season 1 was coming to a close.

They still wouldn't have been able to air the two banned episodes even if the show was on Comedy Central. It was Sony that wanted the episodes banned, not Adult Swim.

I think the reason why S2 focus on Riley so much is cause S1 focus on huey while riley was almost overlook. So could that mean S3 will focus on robert or Tom? S3 also needs more then 15 eps cause the cast of characters seems to be growing.

I'm really not a fan of Miss Kittie. Taranee and Trixie are my least favorite characters of their respective shows, mostly due to their horribly grating voices.
A movie... Wha? Nice.

Haha, Miss Kittie's vocals make it sound like she HAS to bust out ebonics because it would sound weird if she spoke proper grammar.

Who is Miss Kittie?
Who is Miss Kittie?
...a voice actor.
Kali Troy (who I mentioned in the first post) = Miss Kittie

Correct. I really hope Miss Kittie could do a good boy voice. I'm also hoping for some word on this from Aaron's MySpace.
