I think he's looking more at the 'whitepride and blackdesire.' part. You know, ebony and ivory; racial terms, etc. etc.
Kind of like that episode title about piercing through some hole or what ever. The one that sounded incredibly sexual.

Well the whitepride is Byakuya(duh) and the black desire is probably Ichigo and his bankai(since his sword is black.?)

if you go to youtube there are like a thousand videos called "Ichigo is number one" or some variation of that name which has that song.................................... their all in my favorites.

Wow, an entire episode dedicated to Ichigo and Byakuya's fight with almost zero interuptions? And with a twist, too. Madness. The fight in its whole could've been more than it was, but, it was entertaining. I'm actually surprised it didn't go on longer.

I am very surprised that Hallow form of Ichigo popped up though O_o I guess this explains the mask and such. And the final last attack between Ichigo and Byakuya was also awesome!

Really awesome episode tonight,

Orihime rocks which she's so cute & hilarious:p along with her courage.

I love Yachiru which she's so cute & funny.

Ichigo's battle with that jerk Byakuya comes to a close, but it was awesome when Ichigo's crazy hollow form takes over:D & totally owns that sadistic jerk which he deserved it before losing to Ichigo.

Next episode, the really big plot twist and poor Momo is gonna be the victim.When I read the manga after the Byakuya battle, the rest is gonna be awesome when evil shows his ugly face.

Although the battle against Byakuya took its toll (and then some) on Ichigo, the most damage he received in this episode is his literal head-to-head collision with Inoue. That girl could break open coconuts with that rock hard skull of hers. And of course, it could explain why she is so dense.

Byakuya is amazing :] He doesn't need to win a fight to still make Ichigo look like the lower specimen. Especially at the end he just walks away, limping and all until he vanishes.
They both reminded me of old men, all hunched over.
Hollow Ichigo scares the bajezzus out of me; like one of those psychopathic clowns from a horror movie. Byakuya was so shocked I kind of had to lol at the way he was standing with his mouth open.

Before Byakura summoned all those swords.

When Ichigo & Byakura power up and charge at each other the first time.
"DBZ style samurai showdown."

After Uryu says Ichigo must win.
"Come Ichigo, we're right behind you."

When Byakura summoned another sword that landed on Ichigo's foot.
"Aw that's cheating!"

When Hollow Ichigo showed up.
"So Ichigo is Stanley Ickis all of a sudden."

Damn, this episode was just awesome. What a way to end the fight between Ichigo and Byakuya. Hollow Ichigo is just freaky, but was kinda cool for the few mins he appeared, and I loved Bosch's voice style for him. The cliffhanger at the end definitely makes things more interesting, especially for people who don't know what's going to happen.

Though what was up with Ichigo's shout at the end? In the manga it was an "I won!" sorta thing, but here it just seemed like a generic yell.

Also, fun fact for the Ichigo-Orihime shippers: Earlier Ishida was supposed to say something about Inoue literally holding herself back so that she wouldn't get any closer to the Ichigo/ Byakuya fight, which is why she's clutching her chest.

Personally I'm glad this battle ended because really I had enough of it at this piont. Bad enough they pretty much Ichigo's crew useless hangers on who can only be out of range and support him and threahten to "never forgive him" if he loses and only pop up at the very end (and though while cute and admitting uselessness, Orhimie's confession kind of sickens me on how little she's done latley. I mean at least everyone did something in this arc but really they could of shown them do more so as to not make them seem like such dead weight by the end) as well as finding out Byakuya's supposed reason for going after Ruika being that it was the rules. (Seriously if I was Ichigo, well I'd have killed Byakuya with his power when I had the chance but if he was still alive by the end I'd tell him "screw the rules you have money" or something to that effect). Not to mention like all other times it's brought up we get the whole "Ichigio Mask" subplot kind of easily knocked away for other stuff. Yeah I know this isn't the time for that but really Ichigo and Byakuya blow it off too easily for me. I do like the mask shooting black Teshu's around and at least the idea of a room full of swords stabbing and blasting at your opponent as he gets weaker due to his own power crushing him is sort of different, but still sort of a disappointing end. Espically since Byaukya just had his sword broken and ran away. Kind of like in most of other Ichigo's fights in a way. Would of hoped for different in this one. Anyway at least now we can move onto the main part of whatever Hitsaguya and Matsmuto discovered in the room which I know is more interesting then what we saw here. Just what is it all about? Find out next time. Until then though, despite some good sword fighting animation not really much to write to home about here.

Its shock and awe. Except is backwards in bleach. This fight was the awe and now comes the shock.

Anybody else like when that inner Ichigo came out and kick butt. great moment.

Well, I liked the fight, but the ending felt like the other fights in this arc. very anti climatic. and Byakuya just flashsteps away at the end like Ichigo couldn't catch him???? granted, he did make ichigo's victory seem much smaller than it was.

as for the hollow mask, pretty cool, although i was spoiled on it a few months back (READ:spoilers bad people! use boxes). *ahem*, it was cool to see it manifest a bit more. this makes it, what, the third time we saw it? I know it protected him from sword earlier, and in the "ichi" space. I am going to assume (dangerous word) that thsi will be an upcoming undercurrent just like the two who are investigating something (don't know, don't tell me).

I hope both of these storylines come with the same excitement as this fight, but with better endings.

Yeah, that kind of threw me off guard for a sec. It was all of a sudden Ichigo’s back just spurts some blood and he has to drive his sword into the ground to keep himself from falling. But then Byakuya’s back does the same thing, and they go through the final blow in slow motion showing how Ichigo destroyed Byakuya’s sword into a million pieces.

A great finish to this great fight.

I liked the scenes with Yachiru and the rest of Ichigo's friends at the beginning....Hollow Ichigo was kinda freaky (awesome voice and acting,though).....and Ichigo ends up winning against Byakuya,which,though not surprising(already knew what happened,since I read the manga version about a year ago),still made me happy...

Judging by the manga version of this story arc,we should be getting some interesting revelations pretty soon (the episode ends on Toshiro and Rangiku's discovery of what happened in Central 46)...
