Squidbillies is at it's funniest when it manages to stick with the point of the show the entire way through. So this was one of the funnier eps since it stuck with the poitn of having Rusty go through a bunch of ridiciolous trials in order to earn him a Tuscaloosa Dropping (whatever that is. though I probably do not really want to know) at the strip club. So even the cutaways and random intervals served a purpose in that instead of detracting the plot which makes the episode better. Despite Lil actually having a set of lines in the opening things didn't really start getting funny until Rusty actually challenged the bear and surprisingly won and burst through his stomach. I liked the other challenges too of seeing what was heavy and Early stupidly dropping his gold, shirt, hat, granny and son on top of a building, cracking nuts in Granny's face and Granny wanting to stop the trial but it continuing, the unisex bathroom, Rusty having to cover for early from the sheriff who just wants to complete his quota and dosen't really write them up (can't all police officers be like that) and the best part: the random stalking of that woman. I liked how they stayed there all night and rang her doorbell and Early actually calling it a test, and even the ending with him going with the prostitute and Rusty just having to wash dishes. That's actually a fairly solid ending actually instead of just pure random explosiveness like you know nearly every other Squidbillies latley. So overall fairly good stuff this time around. Hope they can keep it up.
