Darn, I was hoping we would get some actual numbers. You could see the 20% increase just from looking at the jump in the weekly 18-34 averages at MLM.

Well...guess that means anime has practically no chance of returning to weekdays.

Watch, the winning line-up will probably have an hour of Family Guy, 2 hours of other comedy shows and Bleach will air at 2 AM.

I put my two cents in (assuming that topic is official), but all I really hope is they will at least put Geass at a more acceptable time.

Well, looking at the schedule ideas, many people are putting various anime in at different times (Shin Chan, Geass premieres, Bleach, Bebop, Death Note, Big O, etc). Only seen a couple so far of mostly FG or AD. Even though WS doesn't want it...
refresh my memory though, wasn't there a time that AS did replay Saturday anime premieres during the week?

Sunday, March 30th
Family Guy (11:00): 1,304,000
Am Dad: 840,000
ATHF:MFFT: 754,000
not bad for a movie and F-Guy finally goes up!

Something tells me the ratings will be even worse next week. Why, exactly are they putting Metalocalypse and Shin Chan on Saturdays again? Didn't they try that a year or so ago, and didn't it bomb? Maybe I'll submit a schedule that has an hour of Family Guy followed by the anime.

Saturday, March 29th
Bleach: 292,000
Venture (11:30): 277,000
Death Note: 246,000
crash!
Down: Bleach, Death Note
New: Venture
Kinda a moot point since they already changed the schedule. Course the next set of ratings will have the same problem.
The change does more or less make sense in that they're dropping the lowest rated VB episode(11:00) and Bleach has shown that it's ratings are pretty much consistent at any time spot.

a saturday schedule contest? Sketch, get on it!
Rest assured I've set things in motion but unless this is an actual contest which they will reveal details on soon I imagine they'll will merely look at what the posters are suggesting and gauge for themselves what may or may not work for the Saturday night line-up.
I'm seeing a lot of schedules with a minimum of comedy and a better slot for Code Geass and those are two key elements I hope WS notices.
I put up my suggestions on that thread and also in the reviews section to help it get noticed better.
But I've got to admit, the schedule pimp in me lives for moments like this. :anime:

I decided to include Shin Chan since we're getting new episodes, though I still like the action lines better.
Shin Chan
Boo: Mr Shades? Do you know how to fight piranhas?
Mr. K: Here kid, a lollipop dipped in novacane. It gets ‘em every single time.
Boo: Thanks, Mr. Shades. Philip’s right about you. I’d offer you dirt fish, but I think the dirt tarter relish is spoiled.
Mr. K: So your IQ is like ten, right?
Bleach
Orihime: As the old saying goes, “Even a cat won’t eat a childish fight.”
Uryu: That’s not quite right. “A cat won’t eat a child’s fight,” not a childish fight.
Chad: No Uryu, I’m afraid you’re wrong. It’s not “child’s” or “childish,” but “a married couple’s fight.”
Uryu: HUH?!
Chad: And it isn’t a cat that won’t eat the married couple’s fight, it’s a dog.
Orihime: Oh, you know what I meant anyway!
Uryu: It’s bad enough that I’m arguing with Orihime about these stupid sayings, but now I’m even being corrected by Chad!
Maramaki: You might want to have this talk with yourself some other time!
Uryu: Huh? Yes you’re right, we’d better get going!
Ganju: You gotta wonder about someone who’d be dumb enough to follow a person as crazy as he is. Wait, I think I just insulted myself.
Death Note
L: ............................................................................................................................................................................................................
................................................................................................................................................................................good bye
Cowboy Bebop
Gren: I get it now. You’re the one, aren’t you? You’re Spike. Julia was always talking about you. Your eyes are different colors. I remember her saying that. Said you get a strange feeling if you keep looking straight into his eyes.
Spike: Where’d you meet her? Where was she?
Gren: Right on the corner barstool. She slipped in when I wasn’t looking. She’d ask me to play the same song every time she came in. Strange lilting tune. And then she would smile. Oh, what a smile. So sad, so beautiful.
The next two weeks are gonna be fun:
Next week: Death Note's "Silence"
Week after: Major Bleach plot twist begins
Plus we're getting CB's final episodes, new Shin Chan episodes and newcomer Code Geass.
I went and posted a fan schedule as well.
I still say this dramatic ratings failure proves me right on a lot of things though.

first off im going to say that Anime on adult swim is doomed, i predict one year from now there wont be Anime on Adult Swim.
I submited this in the scedule suggestion thread.
11:00pm - Robot Chicken
11:15pm - Shin Chan
11:45pm - Death Note
12:15am - Bleach
12:45am - Code Geass
01:15am - FLCL
01:45am - Lucy the Daughter of the Devil
HG Revolution
04-07-2008, 09:36 PM
My schedule suggestion:
11.0: Family Guy (strongest lead-in)
11.5: Crayon Shin-Chan (anime comedy, potential to be a hit)
12.0: Code Geass (new show, needs some level of support at first)
12.5: Bleach (when anime's performed well in the past, this has)
1.0: Death Note (kind of a lost cause this run, so finish it and get it on weekdays with better promotion)
1.5: The Boondocks (people coming back from parties at this time might want a comedy)
Draft
04-07-2008, 10:38 PM
11:00 Perfect Hair Forever (1-6)
12:30 The Brak Show
12:31 Perfect Hair Forever (7, 3, 5, 4, 6, 1)
^-That's just a prediction
A good and probably good rated schedule would be this
11.0 Bleach
11.5 Shin Chan
12.0 Venture Brothers
12.5 Code Geass
1.0 Death Note
1.5 Chuck Norris Karate Komandos

This isn't really that relevant but I was watching Adult Swim and I swear that during that new-ish Prom Night trailer they used music from an old Dragonball Z Toonami Promo or intro. I'm gonna look on the arsenal to see if I can find it but I'm pretty damn sure.
One of the Promos that I found it on is titled "Season 6 Promo" on TDA. You'll have to find it on here:
http://toonamiarsenal.com/download/dbz.php because we can't direct link. (there's a picture of Goten and Trunks doing the fusion dance next to it)
It has been used in other promos too, at least for DBZ. I don't know if it was just stock music or something but I have very keen ears and It just caught me very much by surprise.
Random quotes from AS execs...
Dear Viewer,
Thank your for the compliment. In truth, we've always hated anime and couldn't wait to get rid of it, even if only partially. It has never received the ratings we had hoped, and quite frankly, most anime fans are jobless middle schoolers who shouldn't even be up when Adult Swim begins airing. We don't associate with those people in real life, and we certainly don't want to assicate with them via our fine network programming. Good riddance. Now, we intend to cater exclusively to our comedy fans. Not only are our comedy shows dirt cheap to produce -- about $200 for an entire season of 12 Ounce Mouse and $350 for a season of Tim and Eric -- but our comedy fans are mostly potheads with actual disposable incomes for us to dip into. Thanks to the sale of Aqua Teen DVDs, for example, we were able to afford new 60" plasma TVs for our executives' lounge. Six of them! The only thing anime fans have ever done for us was... Oh wait, that's right Those idiots haven't done ANYTHING for us aside from clog our forums with InuYasha098723409234 handles and Love Hina acquisition requests. Another reason we're phasing out anime.
In any case, thank you again for the kind words. We've worked hard to cultivate our toilet humor and hatred for all things Japanese, and viewers like you make it all the more worth it.
Sincerely,
Mike Hawk
VP of Programming, Adult Swim Industries, Inc.

You and your friends don't matter. Demographics do. And according to our demographics, most Comedy fans - 56%+/- -- are potheads and account for 84% of our online sales. In regards to the Action fans, 71%+/- reported their age to be under 15, and only contribute 3% to our online sales. That is because they are jobless middle schoolers who have no business being up at 12am. It's not our fault your peers are just now discovering the birds and the bees. Stop yelling at us.
Have fun in Florida. Be sure to dodge the spring tornados.

Are you sure that's an Exec from AS?
While it isn't out of the realm of possibility, the user you're quoting (Soundscrape (http://boards.adultswim.com/adultswim/profile?user.id=349281)) doesn't seem to have any sort of ranking to show he's with AS. Still, it would be possible that an exec just decided to go around all that and post on his own.
And doing a google search for "Mike Hawk" Vice President Programming only turns up his posts on the ASMB as well as a few random spam sites.
Finally there's the fact that he claims he's the VP of Adult Swim Industries, Inc. Another search turns up nothing but a link to the Wikipedia page for AS (due to the mentioning of another Industries on the page) and four different ASMB posts.
Now, are you sure it's an exec? Because honestly, it seems like just another user playing around.
edit: In another of his posts, he mentions a "Mike LesBeau." Another search turns up just his post on the ASMB. I'm 99% sure it's just a user playing around.
