After all of the new shows coming in, Cartoon Network looks really good. Look at this. Also, I am not including the shows that have been cancelled.
Chowder
Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends
George Of The Jungle
Diamond & Pearl:Battle Dimension
Reanimated
Chop Socky Chooks
Ben 10:Alien Force
The Secret Saturdays
The Misadventures Of Flapjack
Star Wars:Clone Wars
Batman: The Bold & The Brave
So overall, it looks great! I'm really looking forward to some of these new shows!
PS: Let me know if I missed any. Thanks

Secret Saturdays looks interesting. Maybe Batman and Ben 10 will be good. But, I'm disappointed in the lack of anime.

I'm thinking they are putting the anime news under wraps.

I'm thinking they are putting the anime news under wraps. :shrug:Agreed. Cartoon Network would have completely lost their minds if they ever got rid of Naruto.

 To be technical, they already have premiered 2 new anime this year. They were hack-dubs but their still anime!

They wouldn't be out of their minds if they canelled Naruto (assuming ratings/ toy sales were lower)

Hack dubs don't count. I'd rather have no anime than hack dubs of anime.

The thing is, they don't get any money from toy sales. That may be why they're treating Naruto like dirt lately. They probably figure they don't get any money from the toy sales so why should they advertise the show if it will just make other companies richer? Sure, they get advertising revenue, but I'd imagine merchandise sales is where most of the money is for kids shows.

I'd rather have no anime than more hack dubs as well...
So hopefully Toonami gets Moribito rather than Adult Swim. Who would no doubt squander it.

"Don't miss Moribito's Premiere Saturday night at 3:00AM on Adult swim!"

Hah... like they'd actually advertise it.
I'm a bit torn.
Toonami is a dead man walking and I don't expect CN to unleash the blocks current potential and keep things about as they have been on Saturday night. But the rest of the network is heading more in the direction I wanted it to.
New original shorts production showcase, two new cartoons that look promising, more Chowder (which is awesome and could be their Spongebob), and the only live action production to speak of was a sequel to the extremely high rated Ben 10 live action movie (which at the very least is based on a cartoon). Along with that they're putting their major action productions in prime time again (where they should be). And they didn't even mention Out of Jimmy's Head or those pilots or Kamen Rider (though that's an acquisition so maybe it's still coming).
Chowder + Clone Wars + new animation shorts + a great focus on animation than in the past few years = a much better and quite possiblity much higher rated Cartoon Network and I have to put my Toonami fanboyism asside for a moment and commend CN on some excellent decisions.
This could be the year CN gets some of those viewers back from Nick and Disney. Star Wars will certainly help in that reguard.
So I'm very excited about the direction Cartoon Network is heading in. Yeah... there's still some live action that shouldn't be there but the good (great focus on animation) definently outweighs the bad (some live action movies)... finally. I'd still prefer not to see any live action on CN though.
And hopefully with the rest of the network doing better and looking better, Toonami can also benefit from the better atmosphere.

I just wish they would get rid of live action, I could actually start to love the channel again.
Don't you see Cartoon Network?! I want to love you! Why are you denying our love?! :crying:

In other words, Cartoon Network is a good channel, but although it's still keeping live-action, we just have to take it and focus on it's other great areas, like the cartoons.

It is a comedy. Here's an interview the creator had last year, when the show was green-lighted:http://www.frederatorblogs.com/post/3260
The plot is, according to Cartoon Network & Wikipedia:
Raised in a talking whale, Flapjack lives vicariously through the tall tales of an old pirate named Captain K'nuckles. The whale "Bubbie" tries to protect his little friend, but Flapjack still seems to get into all kinds of trouble inspired by the outrageous stories of the old mariner.

At the very least, they're getting more shows on their line up and will hopefully have less repeats in the future
In other words, Cartoon Network is a good channel, but although it's still keeping live-action
For now anyway. I still side with thoses who attribute to the flaws of the network due to the execs mindset. The majority of Cartoon Network's executives don't like cartoons, thus they don't put much enthusiam into running a Network for Cartoons.
Since love is the keyword, they say that if you love yourself then others will too. Bottom line, is that if the executives would put more passion into their job, then viewers would show the same passion in watching CN.

The Lineup for the year and next year is shaping up. I see good things in the future for Cartoon Network. Very good things.

I do agree that a good portion of these new shows look quite interesting and I'm definitely checking out that Friday night action block. I may actually check out Ben 10: Alien Force and I'm definitely looking into Batman: The Bold and The Brave. In fact, most of the things that I read about their announcements from yesterday sounded excellent. Yes, there's still live-action stuff on the lineup, but at least it doesn't take up the whole lineup and most of it, or some of it, are related to something animated.
I also hope that Toonami gets some support from the network. They honestly need to do something better with it, but I'm just going to hope for the best and see what happens with that. Still, CN's shows are, overall, taking a turn for the better, which makes me happy.
