40 episodes! That is so not like Cartoon Network. It must be doing amazingly well.

Holy crap, I think I actually guessed a number around there

Wow, So I guess Chowder wasn't a fluke afterall (unlike 3000)

Holy crap, indeed! I'm not going to complain though. I just hope the quality of the episodes stay top notch (or at least very good). :anime:

Well we knew the show was getting a second season, but 40 episodes, I didn't see that number. Obviously, they'll split the episodes into smaller seasons, but this is a good news around. IMO, Chowder is the best new CN original we've had in a while.

It is so awesome that Chowder has been ordered for 40 episodes. It definitely is one of the best new CN series we've seen in a long time. Too bad that I keep on missing the Thursday night airings, but I'll look on the schedule for repeats later. I'm glad that CN still has shows like this on to keep me watching their channel.

If they can keep the quality up, then this is going to be awesome. Chowder is truly the best CN original in almost a decade.

I knew that it was getting a second season but 40 episodes! That is as much a three regular seasons.

It's not doing "HOLY COW, BATMAN" well in the ratings, ubt still good enough to order more.

Chowder kicks butt so I'm not shocked that we'll be seeing more of that "fat purple apprentice". Try saying that 10 times really fast.

This 40 episode order boots up the entire series into 60 episodes. 18 episodes away from the 78 episode deadline, which I think this show will stop at with continued success. I doubt CN will drag away from their deadline standards, even with a mega-hit like Chowder. I think this order will be divided into at least 2 seasons, with 20 episodes each. This series could end with 60 episodes in 3 seasons, or could be renewed for another 18 episodes (78 episodes in 4 seasons). And then there is a possibly of a TV movie...but that's going off-topic.

Are you guys sure the second season will contain 40 episodes? It says...
The network has now ordered a total of 40 episodes of the showA total. 20 episodes were ordered in the first season, so if the total is now 40 episodes, that means the second season is 20 episodes as well.

Am I mistaken? Perhaps I'm reading it incorrectly.

It could mean anything. But it is unlikely that the entire second season will have 40 episodes, rather...actually, I think you are right, but I'm not sure.

What do you mean by changing?

NVM, I forget that they are adding Batman and Clone Wars. They are doing quite a bit of change, this was just the only CN upfront thread I saw at the time so I assumed that this was all they were doing.
