This is the talkback thread for CN Upfront 2008: "The Secret Saturdays" Comes to Fridays (http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=22712).
Much later than my previous guess (http://forums.toonzone.net/showpost.php?p=2810862&postcount=125) of when it would premiere, but it looks good from the pictures I've seen from it. Can't wait to see it.
Pick up the comic in the link for your first "official" Secret Saturdays story it seems.

I guess they delayed it so they could make it part of the Friday action block. Makes sense...
But with a name like Saturdays... Friday sure didn't seem likely.
Doesn't look particularly interesting to me. Neither the character designs nor the premise seem original in the least.
Amusing that it's going to be on Fridays, though.

Loks pretty god, but it's called "The Secret Saturdays". Not "The Secret Fridays". But I'm sure it will do well.

Ya, that was a pretty dumb idea.
This show has an interesting premise, and was looking forward to it from the upfront last year
Whe nis this fantasy block airing, 7-9? It should be on sunday b4 Toonami IMO

I can't wait for this one! I have heard a lot about it. The show was going to be called Cryptids originally because they are cryptozoologists. (Scientists that study the unknown creatures such as Loch Ness Monster & Bigfoot) If that theme didn't change with the name, the series will be awesome! :D

Actually, there is a lot more to than that, but yeah, that was the first premise. Then networks didn't get it.

It sounded somewhat interesting from what I read here. I do find the name quite odd, especially since it will be airing on Friday nights. Oh well. I might look it up if I hear things that are more interesting about the series.

So this is the infamous Secret Saturdays that I've heard about. I thought it was some kind of new Sat. block. It look's interesting, though the original premise sounded more original. I'll have to give it a look when it airs.

Seems interesting to me. Like a modern day Johnny Quest. Another one to keep my weary eye on.

It was supposed to be airing on Saturdays.

I don't have a problem with Friday airings, it's just a name.
It was supposed to be airing on Saturdays. :sweat:It was?
I don't see why the creators would name it that unless the network guaranteed a Saturday slot.

It wasn't ever guaranteed a Saturday slot. People just looked at the name and assumed it.

Well, it came from the idea that Saturdays were the best and funniest day of the week. Everyone loves Saturday, and Saturday morning cartoons! :D It wasn't guaranteed a slot on Saturday, but since it's current name came from it, it was likely.

But, putting it on Saturdays would be obvious. The show is called Secret Saturdays, not Obvious Saturdays. See, maybe Friday really is Saturday, but it's a secret, so you don't know about it.

Well, Friday is the door to Saturday, so maybe it's on Friday, because that day is the gateway to Saturday awesomeness! :D (I have no clue what I just said, but it sounded like it made sense). Anyway, at least it's airing, unlike Santo. Pity, since I wanted to see it.

I just saw this thread, and I'm thinking, will this be a full Porchlight production, or a co-pro with CN Studios?

I don't think so. It's just a amusing last name to have. I don't think any deeper thoughts went into it.

I not sure. When producing "Tutenstein", did Jay have to go back and forth between the United States and Canada like with this one? Cause it may either be all Cartoon Network Studios, or a co-production.
