Agree, although mine is Speed Grapher and Witchblade on IFC, followed by waiting for The Soup to come on, and then The Soup on the E! network. If Shin debuted on Friday instead on Saturday, I would have watched it. Oh well. [awful scheduling]'s loss, Comcast's gain.

Oh, and my Friday Tivo session is the same as most of yours. Speed Grapher followed by Witchblade. (Used to be Fight Quest, Speed Grapher, and Witchblade, but the former show is over) Kinda the same way midnight tonight is an hour of Black Lagoon instead of Adult Swim.

Whoa, what a big ratings jump for Saturday and a drawdown in Sunday. What a weird weekend.

Of course, Sunday has the excuse because of March Madness but the Saturday jump, especially considering all three anime beat out the comedies, leaves me puzzled, especially since the anime had gotten progressively worse each week until just now.

I don't think I'll ever understand Saturday. Nice to see Bleach at its 1st season's level, at long last.

. . .

On second thought, methinks viewers tuned in just to see Yoruichi and Soi Fon.

I'm actually more interested in seeing how the new-to-AS FG episode did on Monday. With Season 2 premieres of the Boondocks airing there and now the FG episodes, AS is probably trying to find other nights they can premiere new things and not have to stick it on Saturday/Sunday.

I still think FG on Monday is designed to cut Sci-Fi off before they can become a true threat to their block.

Wow to anime on Saturdays!

My best hypothetical guess.......

If anything cutting anime down to one night a week might have increased demand among the hard core??? (since it's now the one of the only ways to get their fix in)

Might this have been their (evil) plan all along???

10 bucks says next week those anime numbers will be back to normal.

Well, of course they will. They're changing the schedule without advertising it, like they always do. By the way, am I the only one who thinks Shin Chan makes a pretty lousy lead in? They tried Shin Chan on Saturdays before and it seemed like people avoided it.

You know what they should do? Put DeathKlok and Death Note back to back. They both have death metal openings so maybe viewers of Deathklok will stick around for Death Note. They can call it the Death Power Hour.

I don't know but remember when they would run the Futurama marathons? The highest rated were always the ones late into the night.

I have to say that the new Moral Orel was the highlight of the night. If this is how the rest of the season will be (apparently, "Grounded" was part 2 of a 13-part arc), then we may have the best show [as] has this year. More on this after April Fool's Day.

BTW, the guy the Moral Orel ep was dedicated to was a blogger for TV Squad who wrote episode reviews for Orel, among other things, before his untimely death this past September. (http://www.tvsquad.com/2007/09/10/adam-finley-1977-2007/) As a regular reader of TVS, it's nice that they dedicated the most twisted ep yet to him, and he would have enjoyed it. [pouring a 40]

Man, I recorded this. How lame. That witness protection show was my least favorite. And I'm watching the Thomas Jefferson thing now. It's really stupid. What the hell, AS. STOP DOING LIVE ACTION. Damn. Have any of their live action shows been funny? I don't think I've liked a single one. And I don't hate live action by any means. It hardly even feels like April Fool's Day this year. Very few threads, a horrible Adult Swim lineup... which isn't anything new, but it's decidedly worse than Perfect Hair Forever with ridiculous subtitles. Though there was some good new stuff, it was in the minority.. and it wasn't April Fool's Day-like at all.

edit: Oh! For live action, Let's Fish! That was good. They should've picked that up.

Cowboy Bebop
Spike: So, you boys need something?
Adult Swim Employee 1: This show is cancelled.

Adult Swim Employee 1: We're letting the rights to all our anime shows expire, including this one. No more anime.

Teh disappoint.
Yesterday they showed all those pilots and unfinished episodes after 12:00, technically April 1st.

I'm a little disappointed about them not doing pranks on both post-12:00 and pre-12:00, like last year with post-12:00 being farts, Mr. T, Chuck Norris, and Super Ninja, and pre-12:00 the nest day being the ATHF movie.

But I not too disappointed, since we still got pilots and unfinished episodes. Half an new episode of Venture Brothers, Robot Chicken, and other stuff to hold us over until summer when they're finished.

Yeah, I think the reason this sucked was because it actually seemed like they were doing us a favor. On any other night, you guys would probably have liked this. But last night it was just some random previews, since they're not creative enough to think of a legitimate prank... and did Family Guy air at 11:00 yesterday? Because that's lame. I was hoping Tash was right and we'd get a real prank then.

(Also, last year wasn't the year with Chuck Norris. That was 2006. Last year was the Perfect Hair Forever marathon. Though you were right about the ATHF movie in the corner.)

"Ah, they probably laid off because there wasn't any anime on the schedule to pre-empt."

I am so wearing this on election daySuprised that the shirt only goes up to XL, given the kind of people that would likely watch Adult Swim.

It rhymes with "that duck" in case you're not sure

Fullmetal vs. Flame is up on AS video. Any Roy Mustang fans (or just fight fans in general) should really check it out.

Nice promo for the Shin-Chan Star Wars episode. At least AS is promoting new Shin-Chan episodes.:)

Edit: And they sped up the ending credits.

That's a damn shame, one thing I truly like is the credits too.
