I remember seeing "The King And Odie" in reruns in '80-'81, and some episodes had the original "King Leonardo" opening and/or closing titles which mention Total TV/Leonardo Productions but at the very end of the closing there was also a logo for TVS,Inc. Later I found out it stood for TV Spots. 2 questions: Does anybody know the history of TV Spots? And is there any connection with the TVS that distributed live sports events to local stations across the US similar to [Hughes] Sports Network and other such outfits in the pre-ESPN era? [Not to veer off-topic}

TV Spots Inc. did some of the animation for both Jay Ward and Total Television. There is an occasional "Fractured Fairy Tale" or "Peabody" segment that was done by TV Spots instead of Gamma. I believe TV Spots also did the show openings and closings. I'm pretty sure they did most of the General Mills commercials too. (For segments that would get repeated over and over like show openings and interstitials, they tended to contract those out to TV Spots since the end product was better; they cost more to animate, but overall they saved since those segments could be reused again and again. I'm not sure why certain cartoons were done by them, though.)

I'm a TV Spots fan myself...it was called (when they did the "Calvin and the Colonel" one season show, whjcih will answer "StillHoward Fein''s quesioton regarding "Hanna Barbera discontued sound FX" thread of mine, as to the idientitty of the studio), Creston Studios. They were ionvolved with "Popeye", and others...Shull Bonsall produced..
One sour note: In an issue of the late Animato!, Lucille Bliss, the voice of Crusdaer Rabbit, Anastasia (of of the Cinderella Disney evil stepsisters, that little girl in Warner's "Waggily Tale', and Smurfette,etc.,etc.) who was replaced by the more obscure GeGe Pearson, recalled she was maliciously replaced.(if I recall.)
