So, finally having enough time to do so, due to Spring Break I actually cleaned my room. I am not kidding when I say you could not see the floor, 100% true, no exaggerations. It was getting to the point where I was so lazy I didn't even wash clothes, I just went out and bought new ones instead of washing the old ones. Well, I went through, picked everything up, washed every cup/bowl that happened to be in there, and decided to just wash all of my clothes, since I had no idea what was clean, and what wasn't. Finally, it is all clean, all my clothes are done and I even got rid of a ton of clothes, a TON.
Days like this just make me feel accomplished...
Anyways,
How bad is your room looking now? Why haven't you picked it up? How did you feel when you could say "Damn, I can see the floor," etc, etc.
Also, what are some organizational things you do? I really want to organize my room so it never gets to the point. I already organized my closet, according to brand, now i just have to go and organize the rest of my room. How is yours organized? I have so many books and so many DVDs (not to mention Anime) I feel as if I should just get either a large DVD case, and a large book case, or divide it up into smaller ones...
Your turn. Discuss.

Unfortunately there isn't much in my bedroom except the floor! But I'm working on it! :p Now my sister on the other hand, well, if I said it's been years since we've seen the floor in her room, would you believe me?
Anyways, I'm still collecting furniture for my place, so you could say I'm not very organized yet, although I will get my DVDs in order over the weekend.

My side of the room was the cleanest all through college. Even now my room is the tidiest one in the house, except for maybe the kitchen, of which I am the Cleanliness Nazi.

My roommate and I are both kinda OCD (her more than me) so our dorm room is pretty clean. Everyone who comes into our room is impressed, anyway. I need to vacuum my side, but otherwise there isn't really anything on the floor. My closet is uber organized but I need to do laundry. I've got a bookcase dedicated to all my DVDs and some of my favorite books. The rest are at home. I've got containers for food next to my mini-fridge and I make sure everything I have has a spot. So yeah, I'm clean and boring.

My room's never gotten so bad that I couldn't see the floor or I have week's worth of dirty plates and cups scattered around. I just cleaned up my room earlier this week, though. Did lots of dusting and vacuuming. The "dirtiest" it gets is when I don't get around to putting things away that I've bought recently, and I'll have some bags or boxes sitting in one corner, or I'll have loose change and other little odds and ends piling up on a shelf or my desktop.
As for organization, I keep all of my CDs in a small storage cabinet, and another rack that holds my soundtracks sits atop a small bookcase in my closest, out of view. I have a regular bookcase in one corner that I keep all of my books on, and a shorter one next it for more books and to also display some collectibles.
I keep all of my DVDs in storage towers in the spare room, which we've made up as our Entertainment Room, and I keep that pretty well organized. Sometimes new DVD purchases will stack up on the TV stand for a week or two before I get around to filing them away. There's also a small tower that holds all of our video games.

Practically the only rooms I'm cleaning now is the hotel rooms where I work.:p
My room isn't too bad....the way my bed is positioned my room looks bigger than 9' by 11'. I don't really have a problem with clutter on the floor, but I seem to have trouble with clutter on the top of the dresser, nightstand and display table.

My dad has a cleaning obsession, so even if my room was a mess he would jump in there and start dusting the whole place like nobodies business. At the same time I get yelled at when I leave a shirt on the ground.
So at the moment my room is clean. And that doesn't usually change.

Usually my room is average. What can make it messy most of the time are all the clothes on the floor, or maybe there's too many DVDs/games in one area. I'm usually pretty good, as far as garbage goes though.

I'm sort of OCD-ish with cleansliness. My room is probably the neatest in the house, with the exception of my bookshelf which is overflowing. :p

My room is practically never messy ever, I can't stand disorganisation, but it's also influenced by clean crazy parents.

I'm rarely in my room at most of the time, so it manages to stay neat. Since I own alot of games, I make sure to get a DVD rack for them to stand on so they're not scatter on my floor. For the Games I make sure to organize it by system, and the alphabetize it, If the game has the word "The" in the title, I just skip to the next word in the game title. As for when I clean, I make sure to sweep, dust and mop my room.

Pee bottles? Okay, you know you have a problem with laziness when it's too much work to go to the bathroom.

The only problem I have with messiness in my room is when I throw papers from school on my desk. Other than that I'm good. I built a cabinet for DVD's, games, and whatever else I feel like putting in to fill it. I'm usually with my friends, at practices, outside, or in the living room+downstairs. I'm usually in my room for an hour or two plus sleep every day. So yeah.... that's how I keep mine clean.:p
