It concerns Boomerang's airing of Dink, the Little Dinosaur. They were supposed to show "Phantom of the Cave/Dry River" today, but instead, they showed the next episode, "Tricera-Scat/Search".

I feel that this issue warrants its own thread because while programming on any network is subject to change, this is completely unacceptable; there is no excuse for it. They were supposed to show the next episode in the sequence, but they skipped to the next one after that. Even if they were to show "Phantom of the Cave/Dry River" tomarrow, it's still unacceptable. They previously did this with Pound Puppies (which got taken off recently); in fact Pound Puppies kept "jumping around" to different episodes. If this keeps up, Boomerang will end up becoming no different than its parent network. I am truly hoping that Boomerang doesn't end up repeating their parent network's errors (it's a long story, and this isn't the appropriate forum for it).

I will understand if most of you think this is trivial, but I don't think it is. In consideration of how Boomerang conducts itself, and how it makes its broadcast/programming decisions, I am hoping that they don't become another Cartoon Network.

It's not like Boomerang and CN are the only networks that do this. Hell, CBS advertises new NCIS all the time during December-February and it's never actually new (That's the only network show I can name since it and 30 Rock are the ones I watch). Discovery Channel and Sci Fi do it at times as well.

And AS probably does it the most. Several times, some of their 26-episode anime series will have their weekday reruns skip an episode and have the episode shown play 2 days in a row. It happened with InuYasha (playing Episode 6 instead of 166) and Ghost in the Shell three times. It's not quite the Kentaro incident, but it's still just a goof-up.

Actually, I don't think this deserves its own topic. As Duke said, it happens on nearly every network all the time, be it a goof-up, a last-minute change, or censorship, or whatever other reason.

I'm also not to keen on topics meant just to talk about the mistakes a network makes. The discussion usually ends up heated, and sometimes too much negativity can affect the forums in a negative way.

The "subject to change" message in schedules is there for a reason. This stuff is understandable and sometimes inevitable, and if we had a topic for this every time it happens, there probably would be more topics that we can handle.
