They became Cartoon Network Studios now.

Not exactly (that's what I thought, too). My understanding is that after William Hanna passed away in 2000 or 2001 (forget which), Hanna-Barbera was absorbed into Warner Bros. Animation, and the Cartoon Network set up Cartoon Network Studios in its place (since H-B was making Cartoon Cartoons at the time). So technically CNS is a completely different entity.

Warner Brothers Animation absorbed Hanna-Barbera in 1998. H-B was renamed Cartoon Network Studios shortly thereafter.

It's sad when you think of it. Makes me wish the late Filmation had been eaten by Warner instead of Loreal. First Filmation and now HB. What's next?

P.S.: Did someone do a timeline on HB's history?

Don't know about a timeline, but the 1998 HB book should give you as much information about the company's diverse history as you need.

L'Oreal is a company many wish would go away due to animal testing...I heard Filmation was a Christian studiom, their sale to Filmation, which "antui-Christain" liberals would hate due to selling to a comapny which tests on animals (Loreal), would have a controversial connection with animal rights groups despite making Lassie's animal gang ("Resuce Rangers")...LOL
