Marathons/Events: Ape-Reel Fool's Day - 4/1 6AM-6PM
Boomerang goes Ape during our 24 hour salute to our famous ape and monkey stars. Ape-Reel Fool's Day will feature Magilla Gorilla, Dial M for Monkey, The Great Grape Ape as well as many other ape and monkey stars from various Boomerang shows.

Captain Planet Earth Day Marathon - 4/19 8AM-8PM
Gaia, the spirit of the Earth, awakens from a century-long sleep only to find that humans are destroying the planet. Fearing for the future, she sends magic rings to five youngsters from around the world. Wheeler (North America), Linka (Eastern Europe), Gi (Asia), Kwame (Africa), and Ma-ti (South America). When the planeteers align their rings, power beams shoot from the rings to create Captain Planet. The environmental superhero is endowed with the powers of the Planeteer's rings. Captain Planet fights the eco villains of the globe.

Since there's an "Ape-Reel Fools' Day" marathon, and Fred Flintstone is the Star of the Month, do you think they'll include the episodes where Fred mistakes a chimpanzee (can't remember if his name was "Chipsie" or "Chimpsie") for Baby Pebbles, and the one where he turns into an ape after taking some medicine called "Scram?"

And of course, it wouldn't be April...or Earth Day...without good ol' Cap and the Planeteers...especially since there's a movie about them in the works...

Wonder if there'll be any schedule changes?

No schedule changes, and yes both of those Flintstones episodes will be played in the Ape-Reel Fool's marathon.

There is no movie. It was just a rumor that snowballed out of control when someone saw it on Wikipedia.

UPDATE: There are a few minor schedule changes beginning April 14th.

Popeye is coming back in three timeslots (all times eastern):

3PM weekdays replacing The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan.
10:30AM weekends, replacing Yogi's Gang. Yogi's Gang will still be on weekdays.
6:30PM weekends, replacing Help! It's the Hair Bear Bunch.

Hey everyone. I just thought you should know that this Saturday, Boomerang Theater is going to be playing "Yogi Bear and the Magical Flight of the Spruce Goose". It's the first time in months that they've played a "Superstars 10" movie that wasn't Scooby-Doo related.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm pretty happy about this. I like the Superstars 10 series...yes, even the Scooby-Doo ones :). That said, I was kind of disappointed that Boomerang Theater switched to Saturdays only. I actually hope they start showing Boomerang Theater on Sundays again.

anybody remember when boomerang played 12 hours straight of screwy squirrel cartoon THE SCREWY TRUANT?it was on april fools day and there was a sign on the bottom of the screen saying screwy squirrel had taken people hostage
